No doubt McGill is a wonderful place to get your degree from, but it won't guarantee anyone anything. So, you being an international student does not change much in terms of prospects. It's pretty straightforward- if you're good then you will have plenty of opportunities here in Canada. McGill grads earn anywhere from 70,000 to 126,000 CAD as per Emolument, so it depends mostly on your major and how much in-demand it is.

Most employable graduates from Canadian Universities have been ranked by companies around the world in the Global University Employability Ranking 2019 by THE. There is a large percentage of international students at McGill, which continues to be one of Canada’s most prestigious universities.

Coming to the next point, if McGill didn't have good placement opportunities then they wouldn't have so many scholarships for international students like you. They will only accept people they see value in, so you need to work hard and make the most of it.

Just this year, McGill was ranked #2 in Canada for graduate employability by Times Higher Education Rankings, so it won’t be an overstatement that you have really good chances of finding good job opportunities.

The university has many activities to help students enhance their career prospects, be it local or international students.

Innovation Week, Entrepreneurial hubs, start-up competitions, mentorship and many other opportunities to learn outside the classroom guarantee the best possible support to all students. Most graduates here find placement within 3 to 6 months of completing their degrees with an average base salary of 40,000 to 108,000 CAD, making it worthy of all the effort.

According to Emolument, these are the top salaries arranged by degrees of McGill graduates and alumni.Since you’ve not mentioned your major, this is going to be handy to get an idea about their highest paid graduates.

Common Aptitude Test is a gateway to enter all IIMs. IIM Indore demands a minimum percentile of 90 for general category students and around 80 for OBC category. However, the actuals usually go beyond the specified range.

In 2019 the percentile was around 97 for all courses in IIM Indore in the general category.

CAT is a paper that consists of various sections and also has expected sectional cut-offs for various categories which are mentioned below:

The important factors to be kept in mind are :

  • CAT percentile is not only the only parameter to secure admission. There are various other parameters that need to be qualified before entering the campus.
  • After meeting the cut off; be ready for a written ability test and personal interview. The written ability test would be a simple ability test that will test your aptitude irrespective of your academic structure & performance.
  • The final selection will surely be based on your past academic record starting from class 10th. Generally; students who end up scoring above 90 percent consistently are the prospective candidates.
  • IIM Indore has generally two preferences while calling candidates; an outstanding academic record and a 96 percentile in CAT.

Aiming at above 95 percentile can surely land you up at IIM Indore if all aforesaid conditions are in your favor. It's definitely a tough trap to resolve but we need to understand that we are talking about crème da le crème.
