What is the best for a non-AIIMSonian, the AIIMS PG or the USMLE?

USMLE is a gateway to achieve your American dreams. Being an AIIMSonian or not, doesn’t quite matter a lot, when it’s about your dreams. Students are judged on the basis of their work performance and CV rather than being AIIMSonian or not. 

Though, being an AIIMSonian makes the process easier for an internship year of residency, if AIIMS is preferred by the university which you’re applying for. Some of the professors may acknowledge being an AIIMSonian, but the perks are limited to that only.

The score and your CV plays an important role rather than being an AIIMSonian which will not overpower these both. While entering the USMLE arena you will discover many achievers who were not AIIMSonian. Students apply for USMLE in search of better jobs, better education and better living conditions. USMLE is indeed an exam dominated by AIIMSonian but that doesn’t mean there is no scope for others.

The future of every student entirely depends upon their own rather than the university they are in. The goals of every student and their career preference along with personal choice plays an important role in deciding for the exam to apply for.
