Are there any computer science related events in Technex (IIT BHU)?

Yes. There’s a whole category of events related to the CS viz. Byte the Bits. This category consists of the events mentioned below: 

• International Coding Marathon: It is a contest hosted on the Codeforces platform. It is a 2 hour and 30 minutes contest with 7 problems to be solved. The scoring is done in the same style as done in ICPC. The prizes for this particular event is worth Rs.50,000. 
• Appathon: It is a contest where the teams need to make and submit the app prototype. The Problem Statement is open before the competition itself. The prizes for this particular event are worth Rs.60,000. 
• MLWare: This contest is based on competitive machine learning. A dataset is given and the participating teams are expected to solve that in the given 3-4 days. The prizes for this particular event are worth Rs.50,000.
• Capture the Flag: Capture the Flag, invites hackers to show off their skills. This event gives an opportunity for the students to deal with cybersecurity problems similar to the real-world scenarios. Prize money for this event is 50,000.
