The international hostels at Anna University are one of the best hostel facilities provided by a government university. The facilities here are like no other hostel. The hostels provide:
Air-conditioned rooms
Electrical appliances like a geyser, fridge, and microwave
The hostel also has industrial washing machines with dryers
All these amenities make international hostels in Anna University top notch. The only drawback is that now the administration has started accepting local students into international hostels just because they pay a lot of money.

Material Sciences in CEG started 9 years before and in such a short span it has gained recognition. It has made a significant contribution to the research of the country. The significance of the program has been described on the basis of the following aspects.
Research: Research is the most impressive feature of this course. The funding provided by the Center for Technology Development and Transfer during the third year is extremely helpful and encourages students to take up research.
Faculty: Although the faculty is extremely supportive, some of them lack specialization in materials science.
Course: The course has a variety of options for electives. It is extremely structured and moderate-paced.
Infrastructure: This is where the course lacks the most. It does not have a separate department and operates under the department of Mechanical Engineering. Also, there is a lack of equipment required for the course.
Alumni: The number of alumni is less as the course has recently started. But most of them are now working at extremely good universities around the world and India or are placed in very good companies (both in core materials science and IT).
Internships: CEG renders excellent exposure. A vast amount of undergrads perform research in various laboratories across the world during their second and third years. This helps in securing jobs in the future.
Industrial quota or consortium quota as it is generally called is a medium through which a student can be admitted to any of the UG courses of the university.
Anyone who has an industry can apply through this quota which is its main qualification. The process is as follows:
The university reviews all the applications submitted.
It then visits the industry and makes a report on the background of the company.
Based on the report the applied candidate is given a seat in the university.
Most importantly an MOU is signed between the university and the industry.
The main thing to consider is that the company should be related to the course the candidate is willing to pursue.
The arrear papers are usually more difficult than regular papers. You cannot clear them by simply studying the previous year's papers.
The best way is to focus on 16 marks questions.
Every 16 marks question has two parts
Both these choices are from the same unit
Now divide the units into 2 parts. We can assume that both choices are from different parts.
Make sure you are well-versed in at least one part of a unit. This will save time and guarantee you attempt all 16 questions this way.
Repeat the steps for every unit and you will be able to attempt all the 16 marks questions.
Try writing the 16 marks questions pointwise.
For the 2 marks questions you will have to cover the entire unit.
Apart from this, you need a lot of motivation and determination to clear your arrear.
