How is an Mba HR placement in Amity University Noida?

EK
Ekta Kaur Posted On : August 14th, 2020
MBA International Business & Operations Management, Amity University (2019)

The placement scenario at Amity University Noida for MBA HR stream cannot be considered that great but a student may get decent opportunities during campus placement drives as it depends largely on the capabilities and hard-work of the student itself.

The main reason for which is that not many companies visit the campus to hire students with MBA in HR profile which is the main reason for increased competition among students.

Secondly one should be careful while choosing the right institute (B-school) for the course as within Noida campus they have three institutes offering MBA courses within it which are:

  • Amity Business School (ABS)

  • Amity International Business School (AIBS)

  • Amity Global Business School (AGBS)

Since all the three above mentioned institutes are in Noida one should be careful while choosing the right institute. Specially if you are seriously looking in terms of placements then Amity Business School will be the best possible choice for you as it is the flagship program of Amity University so you can go for that since the other two institutes are a bit lacking  when compared to ABS i.e. Amity Business School especially in terms of academics, exposure etc.

At last, the student profile is what matters the most during campus placements. If you are a fresher with excellent academic records, and one who has been actively indulged in extra-curricular activities or have some previous work experience in the field (through internships etc.) along with excellent communication skills then your chances of being hired increases.

Although you cannot expect extravagant salary packages as the average package offered is around INR 3-4 lakhs per annum with the highest package ranging between INR 6-8 lakhs per annum.

Some of the recruiters regarding this department that visit the university for campus placement drives include ERNST & YOUNG, DELOITTE, ZYCUS etc.

Yes, you can easily get into XIMB HRM with your NMAT score. In Fact, there are many other B Schools that accept NMAT scores like

The colleges in order of their ratings are-

  • NMIMS Mumbai (212 and above)
  • NMIMS Bangalore (199 above)
  • NMIMS Hyderabad (190–195)
  • XIMB (190–200)
  • NMIMS Navi Mumbai (185+)

Honestly, only NMIMS Mumbai and Bangalore are worth investing in.

One can certainly apply for the exam again but they must bear in mind that the cost of the exam is costly and you will have to apply separately and fill out forms for the exam as well as colleges again.

NMIMS Mumbai lays great emphasis on your work experience So, even with an average performance in CDPI one can convert a call.

NMIMS Mumbai enjoys a locational advantage being located in the finance and business hub of the country. It is among the 15 top B schools in the country

What is the expected cutoff for SPJain (both profile based calls and normal calls) and XIMB (BM and HR) through CAT and XAT?

IJ
Ishant Jain Posted On : March 13th, 2023
PGDM from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (1989)

SPJIMR

According to the information available, the expected cutoff for SP Jain Institute of Management for both profile-based and normal calls through CAT and XAT is not released yet. So

I will base the answer on last year's cutoff

  • XAT: 93.5 percentile
  • CAT: 85 percentile

However it’s important to note that for more certainty of admission, one must score around 93-95%ile score and a 680-690 min on GMAT.

XIMB

The XLRI admission cut-off is directly influenced by the difficulty level of the XAT question paper. XAT 2023 exam was held on January 8, 2023. The question paper was of moderate difficulty level, the same as last year. Given below are the section-wise XAT cut-off for XLRI admission 2023:

General Engineers (BM)

95 Male 92 Female

General Non Engineer (BM)

95 Male 92 Female

General Engineers (HRM)

93 Male 91 Female

General Non Engineers (HRM)

90 Male 88 Female

XIMB CAT cutoff for the previous year was 91 percentile for Business Management and HRM cutoff hasn’t been released yet.
