The institute is autonomous, and the quality of education, assignments, and projects has been improved over the years. The placements for the CSE branch are promising. All the companies allow CSE students to sit for campus placement. Recently, JP Morgan came to the campus in the sixth semester and offered packages of around INR 6 LPA. Therefore, placement would not be a problem.
All the students across all branches get placed in at least one company. Most students get placed in Accenture, Infosys, HPE, Continental Automotive, Moog, EY, UHG, Dell, JP Morgan, Oracle, Tally, Cognizant, and more. All of these have recruited CSE students in the past.

IIT Hyderabad CSE will be a better choice. CSE graduates from IITH received great placements with cushy salary packages. If you don’t have an inclination towards any specific branch, go for CSE.
During 2022 placements, IIT Hyderabad CSE average package was INR 17.54 LPA. While the highest CTC stood around INR 46 LPA.
What is the average package for students of CSE at PES University?
The average placement package for CSE students at PES University according to my friends, ranges from INR 10-11 LPA. This was for the year 2020 during which many companies revoked their offers made to the students or reduced salaries owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.
- About 80% of the students get placed within 2-3 months of the start of the placement season.
- More than 10 LPA average CTC is offered in the CSE department alone.
- For the year 2019, more than 120 students have got more than INR 10 LPA as fixed compensation.
- Though their overall CTC can be much higher just like Microsoft which offers INR 39 LPA as CTC only INR 12 LPA is the actual salary.

Other companies offering fixed compensation of more than 10 LPA include Myntra, Epsilon, Sabre, McAfee, One Direct, Target, Mentor Graphics, Sorocco, Societe Generale, MIQ Digital, Capillary Technologies, etc.
Deloitte offered a package of INR 6.5 LPA and it took more than 90 students where all the branches were eligible. So you can say that this is an average package for all the B.Tech students. This would be much higher for CSE students, while less for other branches.
What is the placement scenario of biotechnology from NIT Calicut?

According to media reports, the average package recorded during NIT Calicut placements in 2023 was INR 23 LPA, which is a testament to the institute's commitment to providing quality education and fostering the skills required to excel in the job market.
Overall, NIT Calicut is an excellent choice for students who want to pursue higher education and secure promising placements.

IIIT Pune has a decent placement scenario. The average package offered to IIIT Pune students is around 7 LPA. Not all IIIT Pune students get placed, but the best can make up to the top companies such as IBM, Infosys, and more.
