IFIM and Jaipuria Institute Lucknow both are highly preferred options when it comes to management studies. Given below is a comparison between the two institutes based on different parameters.

• IFIM offers PGDM with specializations Finance, HR, Marketing, General, Data Science, IB, Business Analytics, and Digital business. On the contrary, Jaipuria offers only 3 specializations which are Financial Services, Retail, and General.
• With respect to the admission process, both the colleges accept CAT, XAT, and MAT. IFIM (75 percentile) has a high cut-off as compared to Jaipuria Institute (50 percentile).
• Both are private institutions that have AICTE affiliation but IFIM is ahead of Jaipuria in terms of placements and ranking.
• Sector-wise placement is more varied for IFIM as compared to Jaipuria.
• IFIM has a location benefit as it is situated in Bangalore which gives students a lot of industrial exposure. 126 students from IFIM were able to achieve pre-placement offers from good companies in 2019.

The preference should be IFIM as it is ahead in academics, placements, and providing the industrial experience. But the choice should be yours depending on the field you are interested in. Jaipuria can be a better choice for students who want to pursue a career in financial services or the banking sector.

As one of my friends studied at NIT Jalandhar, I can tell you his experiences with the college. According to him, NIT Jalandhar is far better than NIT Goa or UPTU College, especially the CSE branch. 

• The college is well established and has been earning a name for many years when compared to NIT Goa or UPTU College. 
• There is proper equipment available for the students of the CSE branch along with the other facilities. 
• Also, NIT Jalandhar has created a proper environment for all the students that can lead to their constant growth.
• NIT Jalandhar offers decent placement offers to students in various prestigious companies.

Last but not least we can say that NIT Jalandhar along with its appealing infrastructure provides very attractive opportunities to all the students for their holistic development. So when compared to NIT Goa or UPTU College, always choose NIT Jalandhar.

Sharda University, Amity University, and the Ambedkar University of Delhi are reputed institutes and offer decent BA Geography programs. Given below are a few impotent aspects that you should consider about the institutes while comparing.

• According to the placement statistics of 2019, the highest CTC offered to the UG program was 10 LPA.

Ambedkar University:

AUD Delhi collaborates with many companies from various fields to facilitate the placement needs of students.

The details discussed above will assist you in making a wise decision as to which college you would like to prefer for an honors degree in geography.

Although NIT Agarta holds a bigger brand name, it is still a growing NIT. On the other hand, PEC has an older history of about 100 years and continues to flourish. 

Here are some insights into the PEC according to my friends who completed their B.Tech from there.

• Faculty: PEC has some of the best-experienced faculties and many research scholars. On the other hand, NIT struggles to have enough experienced professors as the NIT is newly established.
• Location: Chandigarh is at advantage any day because of its easy proximity and being an education hub. It is better in terms of facilities and coaching centers too. Whereas, Agartala is at a huge disadvantage due to accessibility and opportunities.
• Quality of students: You can see a huge difference in the cutoff trend of JEE Mains rank for both the colleges. In the case of NIT Agartala, about 50% of the total seats are reserved for home-state candidates in the range of 90k to 1.5 lakh. Whereas the cutoff trend is much lower at PEC with just over 60 K for branches like metallurgy!
• Clubs: You can choose over various clubs at PEC Chandigarh. Theseclubs are well renowned and they have even gained respect in IITs during fests and events.

All in all, it is recommended to choose PEC Chandigarh any day over NIT Agartala. PEC definitely belongs to the league with NIT Surat, Allahabad, and others. However, if the NIT tag is all that you are looking for, then go for NIT Agartala.

To know which institution to be preferred, let us start with the rankings of both of them. #48^th is the ranking of MNNIT by NIRF for the year 2020 and on the other hand #103 is the ranking of IIIT Allahabad by NIRF for the same year. Now you can see some other factors to decide which institution can be preferred over the other.

MNNIT:

• It is necessary to complete 10+2 in Science stream and acquiring a minimum of 75% marks in the examination.
• JEE MAINis the entrance exam for the institution.

IIIT Allahabad:

• With PCM as the subject, the candidate has to complete 10+2 acquiring a minimum of 60%.

• ? 143,700 is the first year fee for the IT course.
• General students’ cut-off starts from 1291 and ends at 5330 (in the year 2019)

• Top recruitersof MNNIT Allahabad is Indian Navy, Dell, Canon, BHEL, E-bay, Adobe, Bharat Institute of Technology, etc. followed by frequently visiting companies like Google, INFOYSIS, Amazon, Flipkart, HCL, Axis bank, Dell, E-bay, Cisco, etc.

Now based on all the above-mentioned data, the candidate can compare and come to the conclusion. Other factors that can be made into considerations are city life (which will be almost equivalent for both of them), faculties (highly qualified teachers are there in both the institutions), campus life, hostel facilities, etc. But at the end of the day, it is the subject and the interests of the students that matters for a successful future. IT is a good subject regarding future and the candidate can choose whichever institution suits him/her better.
