How is the CSE at NIT Delhi compared to NIT Raipur's?
I would recommend you go for CSE from better NITs or other institutes like PEC, IIIT, YMCA, and others. Even IIIT Delhi is a decent option if you are considering staying in Delhi only. The reason I am against NIT Delhi so strongly is because it’s new and its CSE course is yet to develop and reach a certain standard. It does have its own campus and the facilities are also very limited here.
- There are serious connectivity issues as the hostel buildings are very far from the main campus. The accommodation facilities are poor and not at par with NIT standards.
- Being newly established it has a very poor placement scenario not comparable to the old NITs or other institutions like PEC Chandigarh, IIITs, etc.
- NIT Delhi does not have an active coding culture. The timetable is very rigid and the classes are conducted consequently without many breaks.
- The faculty is also underqualified and has only a few good professors.
Ultimately, I will suggest that if you are seriously inclined towards CS, and are ready to explore endless opportunities in the same, then consider joining some other NIT than Raipur or Delhi. Go for IIIT Delhi instead!
Which one is better for keeping further studies as an option, an IPM at IIM Indore or a B.Stat at ISI?
Both the above-mentioned options are excellent to be considered. The IIMs prepares you to manage people and processes, whereas the ISI prepares you to be excellent quants.
Many IIM graduates work as quantitative analysts, they get the highest-paying jobs. If the ISI course is more appropriate, you could take the Bachelor of Statistics course. Quantitative analysts, on the other hand, tend to wear out soon, due to heavy workload.
An IIM education provides you with a broad perspective on management as well as access to a large alumni network. So, if you want to work your way up the corporate ladder, an IIM would be a better option. At the end of the day, it's up to you to decide where your priorities lie.
Which is better MAIT (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of technology) or DSCE (Dayanand Sagar college of engg) for CSE?
I have friends at both MAIT and DSCE, so I think I can give you some information about the institutes, which may be helpful.
- Location is the most important parameter that you need to consider while choosing one of these two institutes. As DSCE is in Bangalore and MAIT is in Delhi. Choose the location which is better suited for you.
- Both institutes are reputed and will offer you good infrastructural facilities and placement opportunities. But if we consider CSE specifically then MAIT has an edge over DSCE. CS/IT is one of the best branches of MAIT and you will get ample opportunities there.

Which is the best among NIT Kurukshetra (IT), BITS Pilani Goa Campus (ECE), and BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus (ECE)?
Both the BITS, Hyderabad, and Goa offer equal job opportunities and the academic environment is also similar. While BITS Hyderabad enjoys a more favorable location in the IT hub of the country, Goa has an amazing climate. Choosing one between the two is a matter of priorities only.
As far as NIT Kurukshetra is concerned, it cannot match the level of BITS yet.

Which one should I choose, IIIT Allahabad (IT), MNIT Allahabad (IT), NIT Bhopal (CSE), or NIT Jalandhar (CSE)?
IIIT Allahabad is better than MNIT Allahabad if you are interested in coding. Although NITs and IIIT Allahabad both are centrally funded technical institutes. The only difference is the course curriculum as IIIT Allahabad focuses only on IT and ECE. Due to this, minor subjects like Chemistry, Applied Mechanics, Engineering Drawing are dropped in 1st and 2nd semester itself.
NITs have a long legacy making it more reputable with strong alumni across all domains. On the other hand, IIITA is a young institution and follows innovative academic policies. Its alumni members are even present in Silicon Valley in a short span of time.
You can decide your own priorities in the career. If you are interested in coding culture and look forward to great internships and placements with a small cozy campus, you should prefer IIIT Allahabad. You should opt for MNIT Allahabad if you are interested in meeting new people with diverse backgrounds. It will help you in enhancing your personality.
If you ask me, my vote goes for IIIT Allahabad on all these below parameters.

IIIT Allahabad has placements in Google Mountain View/ Europe/ Australia/Japan from almost every Batch from the past 4-5 years. IIIT Allahabad was preferred by these companies because a lot of alumni already worked in these companies and better industry perception has been built up.
The strength in NIT-A is approximately twice as compared to IIIT-A. And every year this strength keeps increasing. As you know that the quality decreases with the increase in strength, I would again suggest you choose IIIT-A.
What should I take, IT in MAIT (IPU) or CSE in BVP, MSIT? I have a great interest in programming and my home is near to MSIT and BVP.
Speaking about IT and CSE, both are almost the same with some changes in their base subjects. Some of my friends graduated with IT and CSE degrees. According to them, apart from the first and second year, it’s the same. There are more languages in CSE.
- In this case, your choice should depend on the college statistics and the placements. Your entire future is decided by this decision so consider the college and then the course properly.
- Keep the course as your first preference and the college as the second.
- The course of your choice will keep you more focused and keep you more determined.
- In today’s world CSE has more value than any other subject whether it’s on or off-campus. It’s always in high demand and will stay for a very long time.
- A close senior was from the ECE branch in MSIT and she got placed in HSBC with a package of 12 LPA as a software developer.
- Companies recruit from some particular branches which are in more demand than others and also the core branches.
- Your choice of subject will prove more beneficial than your college.

If you are interested in programming so the college best for this would be in the order: -
- MAIT: - It is the best among the given options with better placements stats, faculties, recognition, and better networks with the industry.
- BVP: - BVP is also a well-known institute for CSE and IT. It also has good stats of record placements.
- MSIT: - It is good in terms of faculty. When talking about placements it has a steady placement record.
Infrastructure and Facilities wise, MAIT has well-equipped labs with all the modern technologies and a large campus. BVP has a good Campus which is situated right near the metro station at a distance of 15 meters which makes for better communication. MSIT comes 3rd when it comes to infrastructure.
Which is better Mining at IIEST Shibpur or Mining at NIT Rourkela?
IIEST Shibpur holds rank #21 in India by NIRF Rankings in 2020. In all courses, 50% of the seats are reserved for students from other states and 50% are reserved for the students of West Bengal. Admission is based on the results of JEE Mainand for admission in M.Tech, a valid score in GATE is required.
National Institute of Technology, Rourkela holds #16 rank nationally according to NIRF rankings for 2020. The total seats reserved for B-tech mining is 42. One must have secured 75% marks in 12th standard along with a valid score in JEE Main.
Admission process:
IIEST Shibpur
- The admissionprocess is fully based on the results of JEE Main.With this, students are also required to complete 12th with at least 75%.
- The application fee for general is 1,500 and for reserved students, it is 1,000 INR.
- 3% seats are reserved for physically challenged students and 3 seats are also reserved under defense quota.
- This Institute conducts a separate entrance test and interview for Ph.D. students.
NITRourkela
- The application process is fully online. The application fee is 1,000 INR.
- Same as in IIEST Shibpur, admission eligibility for NIT Rourkela is also fully based on the JEE Main.
- With this, at least 75% marks are also required in 10+2 withMaths, Physics and Chemistry are required as compulsory subjects.

- The highest package offered to the students is 39.12 lakhs while the average package is 6.5 lakhs.
- Last year, this Institute break its own record in terms of placements. A total of462 offers were made to students and out of them, about 311 got placements.
- Companies like Microsoft, Maruti, HSBC Technologies, TCS, and so on visit campus every year.
NIT Rourkela
- The highest package offered to students in the mining department was 18 Lakhs by TATA whereas, the average package was 7 lakhs.
- Various big companies like Microsoft, Tata Steel, Myntra, Bajaj, and so on visitsthe Institute every year for placements.
- Last year about 206 companies visited the campus and almost more than 700 students got placements.
Both the Institutes are good for mining with excellentfacilities like Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms, laboratory facilities. Faculty members are also best, almost all the teachers are holding a Ph.D.So in short, the education facility as a whole is quite amazing and satisfactory for both the Institute.
Which is the best option: CS BITS Goa, DTU maths and computing and CS at PEC Chandigarh?
Among the above three, CS at BITS Goa is the best institute to opt for. Agreeing with a few of my friends studying there, I can say that it provides better placements and wider industry exposure.
BITS Goa offers the best curriculum among the three, with no reservation, and offering flexible courses. Through the course, the faculty helps in all sorts of projects and thesis related works. Thought-provoking ideas are extremely encouraged.

The faculty is supportive, and the infrastructure and location are good.
However, you should look at different factors before joining a college, like placement records, location, industry exposure, infrastructure, faculty, etc. Comparing these two colleges on these parameters, BIMTECH comes out on top.
