One of my friends graduated from IIIT Allahabad and he completed his CSE from the institute. He joined IIIT Allahabad on the recommendations of some of his professors from school.
In his opinion, IIIT Allahabad lives up to its reputation and is a very good place for placements. In addition to that, the institute is also popular for its coding culture, the network of alumni, research, etc.
As far as reputation goes, NIT Jaipur is also a renowned institute in terms of the points mentioned above but despite that, it falls behind IIIT Allahabad. The latter is famous for having very good information technology (IT). Both NIT Jaipur and IIIT Allahabad have more or less a good record of placements and infrastructure.
However, if you want to make something of yourself in the field of IT, then you cannot go wrong with IIIT Allahabad.
One of my friends is a local of Jharkhand. He was eligible to get into all departments and ECE at NIT Jamshedpur except CSE, and he got into the same situation where he had to choose between IT at IIEST Shibpur and ECE at NIT Jamshedpur.
He chose IT at IIEST Shibpur and was satisfied with his decision. IIEST has a good campus which is given the INI tag, their seniors are also very good who motivate their juniors.
In the following table, you will get information on IT at IIEST Shibpur and ECE at NIT Jamshedpur.

Completed with a good campus, great seniors, and recently been given the INI tag, it has the energy and enthusiasm to excel and the Director of IIEST is a great person. He works hard to improve the place.
Many of my friends study at NIT Jamshedpur. It has a good infrastructure but not in better condition. Newly constructed hostels at NIT are also good. But officials of NIT are not promising.
Therefore, IIEST Shibpur is a better choice as it will give you many opportunities and give you a better experience.
The question should be which one is better for me. Because one course might be good for you but not for others while the same course might be good for others but not for you. So check what you want from the course and then decide which one is best for you.
If you are just passionate about digital marketing and are serious about working in an organization for the same, then the MICA program is the best one for you.
But if you want to broaden your options and look everywhere at once, then IIM Raipur is a good choice for you. It’s a good choice because
IIM Raipur is however not a probable option if you are just into digital marketing. This is because it’s not definite if the placement opportunities offered by the visiting companies match your interests. So make a choice after thorough research and thinking.
One of my cousins studied at Amrita University. According to him, the faculty members at Amrita are really good. Many of them work across different research centers, departments, and multiple campuses. I would clarify that I do not have much knowledge about the faculties at the other mentioned colleges and thus won’t be able to provide any insights.
You should also get engaged with peer groups and other extracurricular activities out of your sheer interest and self-motivation. This plays a very important role as well as provides a lasting impression.
I believe that IMS is a better choice than IMI. Some of the main reasons supporting my arguments include :
The fee structure is one factor that differentiates these two colleges. There is a huge difference in the fees of these two colleges with IMS having lesser fees.
IMS offers specialization in 4 fields - Finance, Marketing, HR, and Operations and its main focus is on developing learning habits in the students which is very beneficial in the long run. Students can choose any of the 2 specializations from these 4 at the beginning of their second year. Both specializations will be given equal priority.
IMS focuses more on practical skills and offers a practical environment to its students. Placements are also satisfactory and the average package offered to students is 3-5 LPA.

Location is the other main factor to consider, IMS is situated in Ghaziabad which comes in NCR. It is connected with Noida. As most of the companies have their offices located in Noida, companies visiting the campus are much higher and it is also easy for the students to approach the companies.
Having some friends studying in these institutes, I can say that as per what they mentioned, NIT Patna arrives with a better placement rate than the other two counterparts.
Categories | Mechanical at NIT Silchar | Mechanical at NIT Patna | Mechanical at NIT Goa |
Course Fee | 5.42 lakh | 5.70 lakh | 5.38 lakh |
Highest CTC | 21 LPA | 12-14 LPA | 11 LPA |

Recruiting Companies | Wipro, TCS, Infosys, L&T, etc. | GE, L&T, Tata Motors, Alston, etc. | Bosch, Capgemini, HP, IBM, etc. |
But, apart from the factors mentioned above, NIT Silchar is several steps ahead because it has established one of the best campuses, unlike many. That is the only brownie point NIT Silchar enjoys. It is best if you still research vividly about the prospects implanted in either institutes, and see what suits you best.
MICA Ahmedabad or NID is not that much appropriate for pursuing a strategic marketing course. When choosing a business school, it's crucial to consider your career goals and the specific skills you want to acquire. Instead of solely focusing on NID or MICA, it is better to look for a school that aligns with your long-term objectives.
At some institutions, like NID, the SDM program doesn't primarily focus on managing designers or design projects, nor is it an MBA in Design. It's designed to foster innovative design professionals.
On the other hand, MICA offers a unique MBA program in Strategic Marketing. It covers various disciplines, including management, marketing, and marketing strategy. Here, you'll learn how to creatively tackle business challenges, promote products, and harness creativity across different domains. The primary goal at MICA is to prepare business managers for the creative industry.
NID emphasizes innovative design professionals, while MICA focuses on training business managers for the creative sector. Make your choice wisely to align with your long-term goals.
In terms of placements, it can be said that MAIT is pretty average. My friend is a Mechanical Engineer and according to his input, he does not recommend this institute. Good placement opportunities are available at GL Bajaj, PIET, and even HMR which are better than MAIT. The faculty at these institutes support their students entirely unlike MAIT.
MAIT is no longer what it used to be 10 years back. Students who even get into MAIT aren't aware as they refer to old reviews and they have no one around them who could guide them.
Here are some issues at MAIT:
Considering all of these factors that I have mentioned, it would be wise to not choose MAIT, especially for the Core branch.
Undoubtedly, if you compare Doon Business School and Chitkara University, Doon Business School is much better.
Doon Business School offers an approved two-year MBA program by AICTE and is affiliated with Uttarakhand Technical University(UTU), which has been designed carefully to create leaders who can make a radical impact with their principles and work style learned at the institute. You will be conferred with a world-recognized MBA degree during the UTU convocation ceremony.
There are several advantages of studying at Doon Business School.
In 2021, Doon Business School placements had a lot of success, with the highest and average packages offered being INR 16.40 LPA and INR 6.69 LPA, respectively. A total of 55 new recruiters visited the campus during placements in 2021, which showcases the institute's growing reputation. Furthermore, the international highest package offered was INR 10 LPA by DBS Singapore and ANZ Australia during placements in 2021. Therefore, if you want to pursue an MBA program from a reputable institute with multiple opportunities and a global perspective, Doon Business School is the right choice for you.
