Which college is better for an MBA (PGDM) in marketing among IMT Ghaziabad and baby IIMs (Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, Amritsar)?

PP
Pratik Parikh Posted On : May 9th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

It all depends on what you are looking for, your goals, and your preferences. IMT Ghaziabad (Estd. 1980) is an old legacy institute while the baby IIMs (Estd. 2015) (although it is offensive to call them that) are relatively new. Below is a table comparing their absolute numbers like Fees, Highest salary package, and the average salary package.

College

Fees

Highest CTC

Average CTC

IMT Ghaziabad

INR 19.53 Lakhs

INR 65.6 LPA

INR 17.35 LPA

IIM Nagpur

INR 18 Lakhs

INR 64 LPA

INR 16.74 LPA

IIM Amritsar

INR 16 Lakhs

INR 64 LPA

INR 16.51 LPA

IIM Visakhapatnam

INR 17.04 Lakhs

INR 32.65 LPA

INR 16.61 LPA

As you can see there is not much difference in the colleges in absolute numbers the only difference is the IIM tag.

I am getting ICT Mumbai Polymer Engineering and Chemical Engineering of a decent NIT, which should I freeze?

MS
Mukesh Sinha Posted On : August 18th, 2022
Lived in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

If you are interested in Polymar Engineering, ICT Mumbai is the better option. ICT curriculum will give you an edge if you are planning on pursuing higher studies or further research. Recent highlights of ICT Mumbai placements show the average package for Polymar Engineering to be INR 2-3 LPA. The placements are in core sectors. IT and Consulting sectors don’t usually recruit students from Polymar Engineering.

Keep in mind that Polymar Engineering is a specialized field. The job opportunities are limited. Doing Chemical Engineering from a reputed NIT will give the chance to explore more. After pursuing Chemical Engineering, you can specialize in Polymar Engineering but the opposite isn’t possible.

Which is better - AU or JNTUK?

TR
Tathagata Roy Posted On : November 8th, 2021
B.Tech Computer Science, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada

It is difficult to compare AU with JNTUK. Both of these institutes are quite reputed in Andra Pradesh. Both have a few specific branches that are exceptionally good. AU has branches like Marine Engineering, that JNTUK doesn’t. There is a limited student intake in both institutions. For each branch, there are only 50 seats at both institutes.

The placement facilities are quite good. In the recent placement drive, the average CTC offered at AU and JNTUK were 3.5 LPA and 4 LPA respectively. Both of these institutes also witnessed many IAS aspirants. So, you can choose either of these two institutes, based on your branch of choice.

RUHS College of Medical Science, Jaipur

One of my friends had been studying in RUHS Jaipur and according to her, SN Jodhpur is not well known as compared to RUHS. Here are some of the important factors that she mentioned about RUHS.

  • Academics: It is incredible at RUHS. The academics are very good.
  • Sports: During fest and various other events, Football matches, Cricket matches, Badminton games, Volleyball games are organized. The sports facilities are good.
  • Extracurricular Activities: The extracurricular activities are held a little less than other colleges. Although, there are fests and events where anyone can show their talent. However, it needs to be increased more.

However, you should choose according to your convenience. Take other important factors such as location into consideration, while choosing the institute.

Academics – You have to attend 6 to 7 hours of class followed by 2 hours of pre-reads and assignments every day, which is a bit hectic. Faculty – Great Lakes is gifted with excellent faculty support and they encourage interactive classes

Other Activities – Apart from academics, Great Lakes also conducts various cultural and sports events every year.
