Is it compulsory to pass in all the subjects of B.Com Hons 2nd year in Du Sol?
It is not mandatory to pass all the subjects in any year of B.Com Hons in SOL DU. Usually, many students fail in two subjects and still manage to complete the degree.
There is a criterion set by the university, if you manage to get at least 40% marks in total then two subjects below 33% will be considered as a pass.
You can apply for re-examination if you can re-appear and score much higher than the previous term. There will be an additional fee for filling the examination form

The campus is surrounded by many food joints, cafes, bars, lounges.

- The merit list and cut-off marks vary from course to course.
- You can apply for admissions by filling the application form. Check the eligibility norms prior to it.
- The cut-off and merit list will be generated by the official authority. It will be based on the 12th marks.
- Final admissions will be based on the merit list.

Which is a better college for a B.Com Bhawanipur Education Society College Kolkata or Shri Shikshayatan College Kolkata?
Both Bhawanipur Education Society and Shri Shikshayatan are reputed colleges in Kolkata. They admit their students on a merit basis. Their cut off is usually high but if you have average scores you will get a chance in their 2nd or 3rd lists.
Shri Shikshayatan is an all girls college and requires a better academic record. Both colleges are more or less the same. They differ in infrastructure, faculty and overall fees. Shri Shikshayatan has better infrastructure than Bhawanipur with better well maintained buildings, auditorium, gym and swimming pool.
Bhawanipur encourages students to join their college clubs and committees, they believe in the holistic development of the students along with academics. The college hosts, organizes and takes part in several inter-college festivals, cultural activities, competitions, etc. which take place all year long. If you prefer being around such activities then Bhawanipur is the right place for you.
The choice entirely depends on the individual and where his or her interests lie. Both are reputed institutions, so you will enjoy the perks these brands offer, you just have to choose what interests you more. A culturally active college or a college mostly inclined towards academics.
Which college should I choose for a B.Com Ramjas College, Sri Venkateswara College or the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce?
It is suggested that you go for Sri Venkateswara College (SVC) or Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC), as both colleges are famous for their commerce department.
They have the best, most experienced faculty with some professors having 15-20 years of educational experience. You will have opportunities to take part in extracurricular activities through clubs and societies. SVC also has the best placement opportunities and has the advantage of being in Satya Niketan, the best college of south campus.
Therefore, your first choice or preference should be either SVC or SGGSCC, followed by Ramjas college.
How does it feel to do both B.Com with ACCA in St Joseph College Bangalore?
I might not have studied B.Com with ACCA at St. Joseph College, Bangalore, but one of my friends did, so let me share his experience, which might answer your question.
- If you want to do B.Com, it would be a good idea to do both at the same time. It however requires a lot of hard work.
- You should try and concentrate on two areas, with ACCA requiring more devotion and effort.
- There are times when you must forgo ‘all the fun' at university to focus on ACCA.
- There would be occasions when you would have to submit a portfolio to your university or when you have a university examination and an ACCA examination at the same time.
- Because you're doing it together, you will not be eligible for any ACCA exemptions.
- Furthermore, due to university obligations, you will not be able to complete more papers per session.
- On the plus side, you will save a significant amount of time (2 years approximately).
It all goes down to how well you can manage your time. Go for it, if you think you can do it together. All of this is based on my friend's experience. This experience might vary in case of other students.
Which is better DAV College or SD College Chandigarh for a B.Com?
Among DAVC and SD College, the latter is far better. The following are the reasons.
- There is no attendance policy in DAVC. Students have a choice to be absent from lectures. It gives too much liberty that gets misused.
- In DAVC, there is no proper study environment, and students fail to enjoy college life.
- At SD College, you will be able to enjoy politics, studies, festivals, campus, study, and college life.
- SD College offers a good B.Com program.
- The facilities offered at SD College exceed DAVC. It comprises hostel, library, classrooms, auditorium, communicative English lab, research lab, cafeteria, bank, health center, ERP Portal, and more.
Overall, SD College is better for admission between the given choices.
What will happen if I skip my B.Com semester two exam at Gujarat University?
Don't worry about it because you can take your exams afterward. The Exam schedule at Gujarat University is as follows.
- Semester VI exam is held which is followed by semester IV exam. After that semester II exams are held, usually in the months of November and December.
- So, if you couldn't sit for your Semester II exam due to some reason, you can appear for it along with your semester IV exam.
You have to visit your respective colleges for the semester II exam form. You will be charged a fee of INR 250 for which you will be given a receipt.
Which one is a better college for taking admission in a B.Com, Ram Lal Anand or PGDAV College Delhi University?
One of my friends studied at Delhi University. According to him, taking admission at PGDAV for B.Com will prove to be good for your career.
If both the colleges are compared, we will see that PGDAV is much ahead than Ram Lal Anand (RLA) in several factors:
- The societies of PGDAV are considered the most popular in DU. These include - Rudra, IRIS and Rapbeats.
- In sports their cricket team is considered among the top teams.
- PGDAV has one of the best canteens in DU .
- Their infrastructure is one factor in which both the colleges come on the same rank. They are properly built and well maintained.
- The student crowd in PGDAV is also known to be more competitive and enthusiastic than RLA.
Therefore after analyzing all the points, it is suggested that you take admission in PGDAV College, as it will give you a secure future.
