My friend from school used to be a student of the UPES Dehradun. The university is known for its core branches as well as its management sector. Both are private universities, however, so the cost of studying can be a little high.
The two universities are very different and it would not be a good idea to draw comparisons between them. The flagship programs Amity and UPES offer are not in any way related which makes comparing them a far cry.
UPES Dehradun would be a good option if you want to study petroleum-related courses however if you are want to pursue a conventional MBA, then Amity Business School, Noida would serve fine.
