I have a few friends who graduated from DCRUST Murthal. According to them, ECE has had a good placement record over the past few years. However, not many core companies visit the campus for the placement drive. Most students get recruited by TCS or other mass recruiters. The average CTC offered at the institute is 3-4 LPA.
According to the trends of placement at DCRUST, around 80% of students get placed each year. Students of ECE also have the advantage of being open to CSE, ECE, and Electrical Engineering companies for placements.
One of my friends completed his Civil Engineering from DCRUST. Here are his insights.
Although the campus placement may not give you many core jobs for civil engineering at DCRUST, there are various Govt. jobs that you can prepare for. You can also pursue higher studies. Overall, DCRUST is a decent option for pursuing a Civil Engineering degree.
Admission to B.Tech at DCRUST is based on JEE Mains ranks, irrespective of your category. Since you are applying for the fee waiver category(TFW), you will get CS much higher rank as compared to the general category but it is applicable for online counselling mode only. In physical counselling, you can expect to get CS branch up to around 70k rank. Both counselling is conducted by HSTES, and you can appear for both counselling separately.
Yes, DCRUST gives you the option to change your stream after the completion of your first year. But in order to be eligible for branch change, you will need to have a good GPA. Ideally, the toppers of the branch get the option to change their branch.
Also, there need to be vacant seats in the branch that you want to join. If you want to change your stream, you can ask for the stream change form, from the admin department.
Some of my friends pursued Architecture from DCRUST. According to them, the college is quite good for Architecture.
Overall, DCRUST is a good option for pursuing your Architecture degree.
DCRUST is a state govt. University and is considered a tier 3 institute. However, it is better than some of the well-known private universities. The college has a great environment. For branches like CSE, ECE, it offers good placement opportunities. Mechanical and Electrical branches also have decent placement records. But the placement statistics for other branches are not that good.
Few of my friends graduated from DCRUST Murthal. According to them, the faculty base at the university depends on the branch that you are choosing.
Faculties for branches like Mechanical, Electrical follow old methodologies for teaching. For branches like Biotechnology, Architecture, the faculty base is good. Overall, the faculty base at the university is decent.
CGC Landran, while a good university, does not offer any programs in B Tech chemical engineering. Students can opt for any other B.Tech programs in Mechanical, Computer Science, or Electronics and Communication Engineering at CGC.
DCRUST Murthal offers a program in Chemical Engineering. Some of the specifics regarding the same are mentioned below:

The fee structure of DCRUST has been compared with CGC Landran. However, this is only for the purpose of comparison as CGC Landran does not offer this course.

DCRUST Murthal is a popular choice among students for chemical engineering specifically. However, if you are not keen on looking for that field particularly, placement wise, students are advised to opt for CGC Landran as it has a higher placement rate and more connects as compared to DCRUST Murthal.
