Having friends from IET and studying at BIET, I have enough knowledge about both the institutions. So, my suggestion will be HBTI. It will be a better choice than the others. But before selecting any college you must first learn about each college and its branches. 

Firstly while choosing an institution, know where your interest lies and then opt for the desired subject. Secondly, choose the college which gives you more exposure. Make the list of all the pros and cons of the institutions and make a final decision based on it.

• Research about every stream - Gain information about each stream the college is offering, and choose the one that strikes your interest. Also research about the future prospects of the subject, which will help you make an informed decision.
• Examine what you require from the college - Every student has a different need from the institution they study in. This could be prospects in higher education, competitive exams like CAT, GATE, UPSC or maybe the college’s industrial, cultural and technical exposure.
• Pointing out pros and cons of any institution is equally necessary. Talking to ex-students of that institution will provide a clearer picture of the institution. Always before committing over an institution, check your long term goals and how it will strengthen your career.

IT or Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University or HBTI will be a better option than other colleges. HBTI is one of the oldest engineering institutes that offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs. The placement cell of HBIT is also good. Therefore, you can choose the HBTI for IT or Chemical Engineering. You can choose either branch in the field as per your interest and in the sector, you want to pursue your career.

Among all the mentioned colleges, MMM Gorakhpur is the best.

JSS Noida is a private college and all the other three colleges are government colleges. So, choosing a private UPTU college over a government college does not make sense. 

Now, when you make a comparison between the other three government colleges i.e. BIET Jhansi, KNIT Sultanpur and MMM Gorakhpur, MMM Gorakhpur steals the show. 

It is highly recommended because of the following reasons:

1. Highly experienced faculty members
2. Good and proper facilities
3. The beautiful campus which is spread over 360 acres.

Alumni of MMM Gorakhpur are in India as well as in other countries working at prestigious positions. The institution has been given the status of a university from a college and there are proposals for it to be promoted to an NIT or an IIT. It can be said that MMM Gorakhpur has a bright future.

When it comes to campus placement, since JSS Noida is located at a better place than the others, it gets the location advantage and therefore, provides slightly better placement opportunities. But, being a student of MMM Gorakhpur will ensure you good packages in off-campus placements. It is you who will have to make the final decision.

As you have come up with this doubt, I assume that you have got a good rank in UPSEE. So, congratulations on securing a good rank in UPSEE that gave you the opportunity to choose from such elite institutions.

Unless and until it is an IIT, core branches are always a better choice than non-core branches.

Forget about non-core branches in UP government colleges, there is not much facilities and exposure. So, if you are getting a chance, it is highly recommended to go for CSE in BIET or KNIT because in CSE or IT, you just need a laptop and good internet connectivity and these colleges provide WIFI facility. You will have to indulge yourself in regular practice to bring the best out of yourself, as everything is available on the internet.

CSE would be a better choice if you look forward to getting placed after your graduation. If you want to pursue higher studies then, non-core branches at IET Lucknow will give you a better exposure such as coaching institutes, because of its location.

NIT Srinagar is known for its electronic and communication department, with a NIRF rating of 67. On the other side, KNIT Sultanpur is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and has a track record of providing students' best services.

Academics:

• NIT Srinagar offers BTech, MSc, and MTech in different specializations. The college also offers PhDs in 10 disciplines.

• KNIT, Sultanpur offers BTech, MCA, MTech, and Ph.D. courses.

Placements:

KNIT Sultanpur:

• It has a placement rate of above 50%-70%.

• The placements specifically for electronic communication is appreciative of TCS and Wipro as top recruiters.

• Other major recruiters at the institute are Webkul, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Global Logic, etc.

NIT Srinagar:

• The institute has a placement rate of 60-70%, with the highest package of ?8.7 LPA offered to students.

• Placements for CS/IT students are 90%, with Byjus, Vedanta, and Capgemini as top recruiters.

• Microsoft, ONGC, NTPC, Wipro, Zomato, ABB, Indian oil, Samsung, JCC NTPC, IOCL, TCS, L&T, Lloyd, etc, are the top recruiters.

The placement details for 2020 at the institutes are as follows.

Infrastructure

• Bet it mess facilities, medical facilities, Labs, or sports courts, KNIT has an above-average infrastructure. Besides this, the whole campus has Wi-Fi connectivity. The quality of technology labs and books in the library is also good.

• NIT Srinagar has the first-class infrastructure translated in Lab, Library, Hostel, and sports complexes. WiFi connectivity in the college is another plus point to its environment.

Faculty

• The faculty members at KNIT provide for both theoretical and practical knowledge of course matter. They also arrange summer training and industrial guidance for students.

• NIT Srinagar has faculty members who are holders of a Ph.D. from IITs. They believe in fostering industry-ready students and take efforts to provide them with the resources they need.

KNIT Sultanpur is a reputed autonomous college and is under Abdul Kalam's technical university. On the other side, NIT Srinagar is one of the pioneer education institutions providing engineering courses in India. It has signed an MoU with the National School of Engineering, Sfax Tunisia, to exchange academic activities. A student should keep all said aspects in mind while choosing between the two.

In terms of placement statistics among KNIT Sultanpur, IET Lucknow and BIET Jhansi, IET Lucknow is the best. They are all government colleges but IET Lucknow has an advantage; It is located in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh and offers vast opportunities and exposure. JSS Noida is equally good; it is one of the most prestigious private colleges located in Delhi NCR.

• IES has a better placement record as compared to the other colleges.
• It is also located in the capital city of U.P.

JSS Noida:

• JSS is affiliated to UPTU. Most students from this institute get placed due to its good location.

• The highest CTC offered at JSS is almost the same as IET.

If you have a choice between the two then go for IET Lucknow since It is a government college located in a prime location with an affordable fee structure. According to placements, the ranking order of the institute will be JSS Noida > IET > KNIT Sultanpur > BIET Jhansi.

When it comes to choosing one between BIET Jhansi and KNIT Sultanpur, a short and simple answer would be KNIT Sultanpur. To elaborate, KNIT Sultanpur is far better than BIET Jhansi keeping in mind the following factors:

1. Faculty
2. Infrastructure
3. Placements

When it comes to fees, there is not much difference. The fee structure of the institutions is quite similar. But, since KNIT Sultanpur is a government institution, it provides scholarship to its deserving students. It is easy to avail of the scholarship, considering the fact that you fulfil the criteria required.

KNIT Sultanpur exposes you to different kinds of forums. These forums will contribute to enhancing your skills and knowledge as well as will be helpful in self-development. This way you will be occupied and barely have time to waste. Also, there are many short term training programs within the campus of KNIT Sultanpur which will help you in gaining practical knowledge.
