How is an MBA at Manit Bhopal?
MANIT Bhopal is not the best for an MBA. It doesn't deliver good placements and education in this field. But MANIT will give you better exposure and facilities than other colleges in Bhopal.
- CAT Score- A percentile of 95 (and above) will get you a seat at MANIT for an MBA, as a general-category student.
- Placements- As of 2022, the MBA batch received 8 offers, and the average package was 7.88 LPA.
I would suggest you prepare well for the CAT and opt for a college dedicated to Management Studies. This will give your career a much better start.
What is the scope of biomedical engineering from NIT Raipur?
When I first got into Biomedical at NIT Raipur, I was doubtful whether this was the right decision for me. I wasn’t sure of its scope. But, as I got accustomed to this field of study, I became sure of my choice.
The faculty of the Biomedical department at NIT Raipur is quite friendly and interactive.
In this program, one learns about the design of equipment used in hospitals. In every government and private hospital, there are at least two vacancies available.
The branch deals with 30% Biology and 70% electronics and instrumentation. Most of the subjects are the same as electronics. The latest technology is being developed in this field at a rapid rate. As a student of this branch, you can work on projects like bio3d printers, EMD, BCI, Prosthetics Arm, etc.
As far as campus placements are concerned, they are not good. You can prepare for GATE in Instrumentation, or try for off-campus placements. You can also sit for IT placements at NIT Raipur. Biomedical students from our college intern at prestigious institutions like AIIMS Raipur, IIT Gandhinagar, KIHT Visakhapatnam, and other IITS. If you work hard, you can even intern at MIT, USA.
Thus, Biomedical from NIT Raipur has a lot of scope, given that you set your priorities straight. I recommend you join this course after thoroughly researching its syllabus.
What is the difference between score-based and profile-based calls in SPJIMR?
To ensure that you understand the application process and the criteria for final selection, here are the differentiating factors between score-based and profile-based calls in SPJIMR you need to know:
- The initial application form is the same for everyone, and it includes academic achievements, work experience relevance, and versatility. If your profile stands out from the rest of the applicant pool, SPJIMR will give you an interview call even before the CAT/XAT result is out.
- If you receive a profile-based call, you must meet a minimum overall percentile of 85% and above 70% percentile in sectionals in CAT/XAT to keep the call valid. If you do not meet these criteria, the call stands canceled.
- Once you receive a profile-based call, you have the option to choose early interviews at the SP campus itself, where only profile call-getters are called. Otherwise, you can also choose to come later with the score-based call-getters.
- For score-based call-getters, the process of getting a call is slightly different than the above. Once CAT/XAT results are out, SPJIMR shortlists candidates based on their percentile (cutoff hovers around 96-97) and profile and then give out the score-based calls which are essentially profile-cum-score based calls.
- The remaining part of the process remains the same for both profile-based and score-based call-getters, which involves conducting the interview and getting selected.
- The final conversion depends on a combined result of academics, work experience relevance, achievements, versatility, CAT/XAT/GMAT score, psychometric test, WAT, GI 1, GI 2, and positioning in the applicant pool. This criterion remains the same, irrespective of whether you were a profile-based convert or a score-based convert.

What are the consequences of not opting for an open elective course from NPTEL in AKTU?
Not opting for an open elective course from NPTEL in AKTU does not have any direct bad impact on your results unless you are in the final semester.
If you are a final semester student it becomes necessary to enlist in NCER(non-conventional energy resources). Submit your assignments timely and pass the final exam. In case you fail to do so, your result will have a COP and you will be required to give a back paper.
I’d recommend students in all semesters enroll in elective subjects of their choice. Completion of the course will give them a certificate from NPTEL which has enough value.
What are the scopes or oppurunities after doing bachelors in economics from IIT kharagpur?
Firstly, it’s important to note that IIT Kharagpur does not offer a bachelor's course in Economics, but rather an integrated MSc course. Indeed, the scope of economics is increasing day by day owing to its high demand in the corporate sector.
After completing a Bachelor's degree in Economics from IIT Kharagpur, there are a variety of career opportunities available to you. Some popular choices include:
- Opting for higher education by pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. in Economics or a related field, such as Finance, Business, or Public Policy.
- Working in the financial sector, such as investment banking, private equity, or venture capital.
- Working in a government or international organization, such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, or a national central bank.
- Joining a consulting firm, such as McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, or Accenture.
