Dibrugarh University isn’t a good option for CSE. The academics aren’t good. The campus doesn’t have an active coding culture. Dibrugarh University placements aren’t good. Only 5% of the students get placed. During the recent campus drive, the median CTC offered was INR 3.28 LPA. Career opportunities and exposure offered are limited.
It is always better not to choose IIT Patna if you are looking for a good academic life. As we know, IIT Patna is one of the leading institutes in advancement and infrastructure, but they are weak in academics, good faculty, and placement support. Here are some points that substantiate my statement about IIT Patna
Faculty – IIT Patna has only less qualified faculties who do not have sufficient knowledge about the subjects and are not interested in teaching. Other IITs have far better faculties when compared with Patna Placement Support – IIT Patna is not up to the mark when it comes to placement support. Only 40% of students get placement here, and it varies based on the batches. Other Branches – They are more struggling than the students from the CSE department as they are not satisfied with the internship programs and only a few got placement So it is better to choose other IITs, BITS, or NITs for CSE other than IIT Patna. The administration of the institute does not make this decision.
This decision as to when the classes of the first year can commence is taken by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) which is in charge of the admission process. The institute can make the decision from the second year onwards.
Generally, the classes will start a week after all the counseling rounds have been concluded. They usually begin at the end of July. The classes for the first year in the NITs start together.
It would be preferable if you come one or two days prior to the beginning of the classes to get acquainted. That is if you are planning to live in the hostel.
The difficulty of getting a branch change in IIT Mandi to CSE depends on various factors like the current demand for the CSE program and the availability of spots in the program. The branch upgradation policy at IIT Mandi is very easy making it highly possible to get a branch change to CSE if you start working from the beginning. All you need to do is maintain a stable CGPA around 9. The 50 % branch change criteria make it easy for everyone to get a branch change. The increasing batch-size changes the cutoff every year but to play safe, maintain a 9+ CGPA. You will be surprised to know that some even get to join CSE with a CGPA of 8.6+.
The number of study hours required to get a branch change depends on the individual, his intellect, and his learning style. The general rule of thumb is to study at least 3 hours per day for undergraduate courses.
All you need to do is be consistent with your studies and attend classes regularly. So, it totally depends on what works for you.
You need to consider several factors before deciding the best college for yourself. Here are a few factors and the preferred choice if you give preference to that factor alone
Ultimately, the final decision depends on your personal preferences.
If you're looking for a good college to pursue civil engineering and you belong to Southern India, NIT Trichy may be a good option for you. Here's some information that may help you make a decision:
In summary, if you are looking to pursue civil engineering and belong to Southern India, NIT Trichy can be an excellent option for you. The college is known for its top-notch faculty, infrastructure, and placement opportunities, which make it a preferred choice among engineering aspirants. By choosing NIT Trichy over IIITs, you can give yourself a better chance at a fulfilling career in civil engineering.
Mechanical engineering is the broadest discipline itself and it is good at both Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI). For the research perspectives in any specialized subjects of mechanical engineering, AMU is quite good and for exposure or entrepreneurship, JMI is the better option having 10th NIRF rank among Indian colleges.

Your question has a lot of variables to consider. This answer is unbiased as it can be. You should take a job after B.Tech. if you don’t have a strong resume. MBA is a professional course and welcomes experienced students who are well versed in academic performance, extra-curricular, and leadership/management experience.
If you lack in these areas my suggestion would be to upgrade your CV with skills and experience and give CAT another shot.
Keep in mind that your salary does not matter. Your achievements, crisis management and leadership skills you acquire while at work are more important. So if you are eyeing a high-end consulting job, take another go at CAT after gaining some more experience.
Some people tend to lose the motivation to prepare for CAT over the years. They can join IIM Kozhikode even as freshers.
