Should I join NIT Trichy for civil, IIIT Sri City for CSE, IIIT Guwahati for CSE or Thapar University for CSE?

In terms of campus life, location, faculty and research, and fees you will find NIT Trichy are much better than other colleges.
One of my friends has suggested that if you don’t have any branch preference then you must go for NIT Trichy, if you want to go CSE branch then you should choose Thapar university. However, if you are looking for a branded college like IIIT with a CSE branch then you should do more research for both the IITs i.e. Guwahati and Sri city. But both of these IIIT’s are very new and they cannot be judged much.
IIIT Sri City claims to be the best college but it is entirely true as the college lacks good administration and good mentors. If you have a good academic record then you may get good jobs and you can easily get internships in companies like CISCO and Facebook.
Both IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Sri City follow IIITH Curriculum and this curriculum is very demanding. In IIIT Sri City you will have a very tough curriculum and will not get much leisure time as they have a lot of projects and you will have to attend classes as well.
Here is the preference order of the institutes based on various parameters.
- Campus Life: NIT Trichy> Thapar University> IIIT Sri City~ IIIT Guwahati
- Location: NIT Trichy> Thapar University> IIIT Guwahati> IIIT Sri City
- Faculty & Research Culture: NIT Trichy> IIIT Guwahati~ IIIT Sri City~ Thapar University
- Course Fee: NIT Trichy< IIIT Guwahati~ IIIT Sri City< Thapar University
Overall the IITs are new and cannot be compared with the Thapar and NIT Trichy. You can also try for LNMIIT Jaipur. It is also a good institution.
