C.N Sinha is currently the Director of Heritage Institute of Hotel & Tourism. He has also worked in Hotel Agra Ashok, a unit of India Tourism & Development Corporation as Manager (Food & Beverage). He is a proactive planner with abilities in devising effective strategies for augmenting business, identifying and penetrating new market segments, promoting products for business excellence. He is proficient in menu planning, inventory management and maintenance of a hygienic environment. The education industry is full of challenges, every semester and every year you have new students to whom you have to nurture not only in the parameters of the university or any of the regulatory body but in other related activities also.

This is, of course, the best industry among all the sector as here the duty and responsibilities to impart the knowledge.

The philosophy of the leadership resides in the vicinity of the director of HIHT Agra, is a development of a positive attitude of cultural significance in students and staff members. It is very transformational the best pedagogy has to be given to the pioneers of the hospitality sector.

The description of the leadership in my point of view is the instructional leadership style which is central to today paradigm of effective college leadership.

The significant challenges I faced most often is in this college that the most of the students are from the economically weaker background but they are studious and possess a charming personality. They are dependent on the sponsorship of the fee which makes them a stressful mind.

Being a member of the board of studies, I myself made the curriculum as per the parameters of the Hospitality sector in the global world. For instance, I implemented basic French language in the syllabus of the bachelor degree in Hotel Management. The culinary skill has developed multi-cuisine expertise. The Indian culture of Hospitality is focused.

Being the Director of HIHT Agra, I visualize the growth of my students in the ascending direction. The growth through the training and placement cell is ascertained. We categorize the group of students and start nurturing them from the beginning only as per the industry requirement. This phenomenon is apart from the curriculum program.

Yes, I intend to strengthen the procedure more strongly because HIHT Agra now impressing on better skill knowledge in the opted is. A tutorial class has been taken up to brush up the candidates in the department of their interest.

I interact with the students directly, they come to my office for any grievances at anytime student is my clientele. This why I take the classes in every semester also. I put an open session with the teacher, student and non-teaching staff. There everyone has right to put any suggestion and his/her complain. Nowadays, social media is very much in vogue. So, we have WhatsApp group and Facebook too.

Ideal school environment according to C.N Sinha

Our college environment has a vision about not to be monotonous on the academia but to focus on extracurricular activities. This enhances the students on the platform of the multi-facet buildup. We conduct group discussion, personal interview, debate, extempore, etc. Beside that cultural event and the technical festival, I also encourage this event as parallel to academic syllabus because this reflects and improve the candidature of the students.

Top qualities according to C.N Sinha that an aspiring candidate must possess

Ample of students are opting the career in hotel management and catering technology from various streams. In fact, the science background is also joining the Hospitality sector nowadays. Even the high scorer coming to the catering field. The top qualities which the aspirants must possess are- charming personality with zeal and enthusiasm in the hospitality field. Our facilitators also improve the personality development in their sessions. The communication skill and positive attitude are the preferable qualities for the aspirants.

In next few years, we want our Institute to be recognized at the platform of the world label. Slow and steady, we are stepping ahead in this process but it will take some years. Our vision is to enlarge the diameters of the pockets of the fetching the potential students from different countries as to achieve global recognition and to impart the hospitality knowledge into their vicinity.

Suggestions for the current youth and the aspiring students

Some suggestions are really there for the aspiring student that they should be honest towards their study as this stream requires the quality dedication. Then there is a full chance to grow up to the higher level and acquire the social status. Honesty and sincerity is the best policy.
