As a CEO of Sudha Rustagi College of Dental Sciences and Research, I consider myself as an avid product expert who likes to keep himself updated with all the latest dental products and technologies at an international level. Being a dedicated academician too and an efficient administrator, I have been putting efforts in building self knowledge and always tries to upskill for the current trends so that it helps to outreach my best knowledge to my learners.
What is your philosophy of leadership?
“Be a leader who can drive strategic planning”
Be a Team Player – Focus on the team as a whole is my primary focus. As a leader I believe to be more accountable, proactive, to be focused, so I believe for being a leader being resilient also pays off. Plan and implement best practises to gain best outcomes is what a good leader does. I manage my duties wisely by being more benevolent, authoritative, consultative and participative.

How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best practice of industry?
“Keeping regular updates and latest practises”
We strictly follow the guidelines of DCI to inculcate it in our college so that it imparts in providing excellent practice to our learners. To ensure it we keep on updating the latest laboratory and clinical instruments. Well qualified and experienced teaching faculty has been recruited. All clinical teaching programmes including CDE programs, hands-on programmes are meticulously planned and organised. Digital libraries are updated from time to time with all current affairs and Journals.
What do you think should be the College’s top priority over the next 10 years?

According to me, college’s top priority should be to provide a world class academic environment to the students, so that when they will go out of the campus, they can stand out in the highly competitive atmosphere, at local as well as global level. For this, focus should be on hiring top scholars as faculty, providing top class clinical and research based learning and employ-ability of the students. Also with appropriate skill development, including soft skills, implementation of various quality control measures etc. we aspire to create best professionals in the field.

What plans are you currently designing for SRCDSR’s international affairs?
“More collaborations and innovations”
Inculcation of digital platforms to deliver quality education and collaboration with international universities and various industries as well as government research agencies are already in the pipeline. Development of virtual modes for patient care, where applicable, will be soon implemented.
