Being a Faculty of the GMCC, what are your responsibilities toward the students?

"Educating students, developing their skills and guiding them about possible career options are my responsibilities"

Being a faculty of GNGC, my responsibility is to teach and guide my students to achieve the best academic results. And educating them about the correct career options, industry developments and requirements, helping them in their projects and assignments and developing best ethical and technical skills also comes under the scope of my responsibilities.

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

"By resolving students issues on time and providing amazing working environment to teachers"

We have allotted 1 mentor per 15 students under the Mentorship Program, and through these mentorship sessions we try to address their academic and non-academic issues and queries and try to resolve them on time. And we have developed a calm and positive work study environment so that both our faculty members as well as our students can work and learn freely and feel that they are an important asset for us. So, this is how we ensure a good relationship with our students and teaching staff.

How do you bring in a practical and industry oriented approach towards subjects?

"By introducing project oriented learning through a new subject"

We introduce a new subject every semester after analyzing the latest technologies and demands of industries. And under that particular subject, we offer them project based learning because we understand very well that along with academics, practical exposure and experiences are very much important for the complete development of students' minds. Also, our students work on different topics under their respective assignments and project work to get an idea about how things work at ground level. Lastly, as I already mentioned, technical events and competitions are being organized by us in this respect.

Which best practices are offered by your college to the students to help them gain necessary skills?

"Expert lectures, seminars, professional visits and project exhibitions are regularly organized by us"

Our institute organizes expert talks and seminars in collaboration with industry experts and also offers skill development programs on a regular basis. Apart from this, industrial visits and project exhibitions are organized by us as and when required to give a platform to our students to showcase their technical skills, and educate them about how to deal with the public and industry people. This is how we make them competent and confident for the professional world as well as society.

"We conduct extra classes and doubt session for such students"

In every semester we first filter out weak students and slow learners who need our extra attention academically and emotionally and then accordingly we arrange remedial classes and extra learning sessions for them so that they can perform well in exams and represent themselves confidently in front of others. In addition to this, we provide them detailed study notes and analysis documents both subject-wise as well as chapter-wise to ensure they can understand every concept properly and deeply. Lastly, we assign project work to all the students to help them utilize their classroom learning in real time scenarios and also to bridge the gap between their skills and employed requirements.

How does your college prepare students for higher education and outside the competitive world?

"They are trained through regular connect sessions and events and activities our college club organize"

Our college has introduced one concept called Mastermind through which we keep updating our students about the admission and exam process of foreign universities and how they can avail various kinds of scholarships to study abroad. Apart from this, we have established sports clubs, cultural clubs, robotics clubs, book reading clubs, health and wellness clubs and these clubs conduct different kinds of events and activities on a regular basis to enhance the skills of our students and prepare them for the outside competitive world.

Also, the fundamental knowledge they bring with them is different in many ways, so we sometimes face difficulty in syncing with them but overall the situation is much better now and we don't have any major challenges in front of us.
