What is your philosophy of leadership?

“A collaborative style of leadership”

Collaboration is a way to lead your team through the process. Now, the social culture has changed and the preferences of students have changed as well. My industrial background has instilled in me the belief that teamwork is the key to success.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in NHIT?

“Academic vigour and extracurricular activities for holistic growth”

As a student transition from school to college, his or her thinking level changes. Additionally, they take part in other activities outside of their studies. We encourage our students, along with their studies, to participate in such activities. As a result, we are focused on the overall development of our students.

How does the curriculum of NHIT ensure the best practice of industry?

“Enabling industrial interactions and skill training”

It has been my pleasure to contact my colleagues in order to introduce my students to the industry. Recently, I have focused on this issue on a larger and greater scale. Every year, our college does a technical seminar as a part of its activities. In addition, we have collaborations with a number of major companies within the industrial field, where our students are often invited to participate.

What do you think your responsibilities to the University and the students are?

“Providing world-class education and practical training”

I am responsible for ensuring they receive good knowledge and get placed well. Engineering students definitely prioritize this when applying. I have the responsibility of maintaining a high level of discipline between the boys and the girls in our College. In addition, I provide suggestions to the management of the institute for how we can further develop the institute.

What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?

“Excellent training and placement opportunities”

The college has an excellent placement record. We have placed most of our students in various good companies and they are happy. The college has definitely made a significant contribution here.

What are some of the biggest challenges for the higher education sector?

“Aligning the curriculum with industry requirements”

In the future, the entire idea of Engineering - whether you decide to pursue the academic route or to work in the industry - will be radically changed. We have to make our curriculum aligned with the new system. This is going to be a challenging task.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth?

“Engineering has immense space for personal and professional growth”

Recent course introductions have led to some people leaving the Engineering field. There is no doubt that India will grow in the coming years. This growth comes naturally as a result of Engineering. It is, therefore, necessary for people to study this field. The transition from a developing to a developed nation is steadily taking place. Therefore, students must choose the Engineering program.

How did your institution cope up with the covid situation?

"We record the practical classes, which is imperative for this field”

We have done our best to keep up with our previous teaching and training ways through the current online classes. We have also shared recorded practical classes, which is very necessary for this field. We post the lessons on our YouTube channel and Facebook page.
