What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills?

The best practices offered by our department are practicals, discussion of case studies, organizing department-wise events, and industrial training and through which the exposure for the students is open for options in the Current field.


What are your views upon the placements and higher education of the students from your department?

By training the students in aspects like Personality development, basics of corporate communication, projection of ideas, confidence building, Managerial approaches and basic etiquette are followed.


How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world?

Raising their confidence and teaching them the practical application of knowledge gained during the course. Practical references are applied on real based scenarios; this is how the student copes up with the competition.

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students?

The English department has planned an elocution competition which will help in improving their communication skills and continuous newspaper reading will help in the vocabulary department.


What are the challenges you faced to uplift the quality of education of your department?

The communication skills of the students are very limited and teaching them from the scratch within this stipulated duration of the course is difficult. We, Faculties, are verily trying our best to provide knowledge to our students who can come out of flying colours.


How does the curriculum in the department ensure the best practice of the industry?

By covering all the relevant aspects of the subject enhances the student’s confidence when they join the industry. Since Chennais Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management is known to have industry expertise and industry-level experts to teach our students.

What valuable advice would you like to the students for them to have a prosperous career ahead?

Work on yourself and keep working hard on a day-to-day basis. Follow all the basic etiquette required on a daily basis, constantly updating knowledge, learning new skills, and keen to know about managerial approaches. The ability to learn new techniques and vast knowledge in the industry is always important. Ability to accept failure and also have the courage to move on.
