As the HOD, my roles, and responsibilities towards the students are to make them confident and smart so that they can excel in any area of personal and professional life. I prefer friendly a approach while imparting subject knowledge, and icebreaker activities in between to keep the studies interesting.

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

"Assume the best in every student. Interview the students. Let the students interview you as well"

To establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty, I make sure to have proper communication with them and get to know their side of the story. I talk to students inside and outside the classroom, play games or activities with students, and share my experience about the industry or morals.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented?

"By making them practice whatever they are learning in day-to-day life too"

To bring in a practical approach towards subjects and make it industry oriented, I make sure that the students understand the concept of practicals, how it helps in our work life, and how they can implement it in their work. I believe the practical approach is very important which can be done by involving Industry experts and their experiences.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students which help them gain necessary skills? 

The best practice offered to the students is making them learn through practical lessons and case studies, which helps the students learn through visuals that stay with the students for a longer time.

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students from your department or how does your department prepare students for Higher education?

"Our aim is to shape their personality along with the subject knowledge"

As a faculty member, my aim is to shape their personality along with their subject knowledge. To prepare them for higher education, we regularly engage in role plays, practicing what is taught in the classroom, and increase their IQ level by asking them riddles in between the classes or practicals and giving some mentally engaging games.

How do you help your student to cope up with the competition being so high in the outside world? 

To help my students cope with the competition being so high in the outside world, I update them about the latest trends and developments in the industry. I also give them the to think about creativity in their own mindsets and to know about what trends are going on in the market.

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance the skills of the students and challenges faced?

"Challenges are always there, finding ways to be responsible for what we want is what matters"

Yes, we do organize regular events related to subjects that are organized on campus to bring out the best in them. Students need a lot of dedication and motivation, so I keep on motivating students with the help of giving examples.
