What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Outcome-Based Delivery Mechanism” (OBE) always motivates me to stay connected with this sector”

OBE can be differentiated from the traditional education method by the way it combines three elements: philosophy of learning, a methodical structure for instruction, and a definite approach to instructional practice. It organizes the entire educational system towards what is considered essential for the learners to successfully do at the end of their learning experiences. Herein, the term "outcome" is the fundamental concept and is sometimes used interchangeably with the terms "aptitude, "values, "yardsticks", and "attainment of objectives".

What is your philosophy of leadership?

Patience, self-involvement and allowing united growth are the notable factors”

Good leadership in the educational institute helps to nurture both a positive and motivating culture for staff and a high-quality experience for learners. Leaders at all levels in educational institutes can contribute to this by developing the top skills needed by educationists. Getting the job accomplished through a group of people needs a high level of smartness and activeness coupled with leadership skills.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“To lead, manage and enhance the institute to ensure it achieves future goals”

Developing an outcome-based and creative learning environment while incorporating the values of teamwork are some of the values required to meet academic expectations. The educational environment is required to ensure that the students gain access to quality education. The Head of the institution is required to lead, manage and develop the institute to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities.

Any insights into how your institutes could be more welcoming and inclusive in nature?

“The culture at IITM Group of Institutions is of unity and integrity”

Diverse Institute campuses offer more global views for students to believe, connect and engage. Students can learn from peers with diverse outlooks shaped by a variety of experiences. IITM also desires to build a campus environment in which everyone feels welcome, and which contributes to assist and improve students' personal and social development. Students of different races and economic backgrounds are already enjoying and learning with full zeal.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

To establish various Centers of Excellence (COE) in association with industries”

A COE is a group, a common facility that provides leadership, finest practices, research, support and training for a focus area at par with the need of the industry and the society. It works across business units (BUs) or product lines and has a leading-edge knowledge and competency in that area. This sharing of resources increases competence within the organization while creating more established experiences.

How do you tend to build an Industry-Connect with the programs available in your institutes?

“Through industry internships and collaborations with top companies”

We have designed some extra course material under our unique concept of “Beyond Curriculum”. We are teaching and guiding our students on the latest platforms at par with the industry needs. The college-industry connect is the best form of the learning module that includes a brief period of internship for an aspirant to offer him/her the experience of the ins and outs of the industry. We have effectively built a strong relationship and tie-up with several organizations to offer our students a fair chance to understand the industry and its needs.
