IIT Palakkad now operates from two campuses: the temporary campus at the Ahalia Integrated Campus in Kozhippara, and a transit site situated in a corner of the permanent campus, Nila in Kanjikode. The permanent campus of IIT Palakkad is rapidly taking shape on a magnificent 500-acre property at the foot of the Western Ghats, just a few kilometers from the Palakkad Railway Station and roughly 60 kilometers from the Coimbatore International Airport.

IIT Palakkad is a fully residential institute with separate hostels for boys and ladies. Accommodation is given on a twin-sharing basis, and all rooms have attached bathrooms. The hostel and academic buildings are all within a three-hundred-meter radius of one other. Bageshri, Brindavini, and Tilang are the institute's three hostels on the Nila campus.

Since academics alone are insufficient, the college has several active clubs. Some of them include the drama club, design club, robotics club, aviation club, astronomy club, music club, gaming club, and photography club.

Fleet Street is a reputable media outlet where students may showcase their skills and express their thoughts. The "Kadambini" Women's Forum seeks to strengthen the position of the institution's female community. Racism, sexism, or any other form of unfairness towards a student is not tolerated at the college.

IIT Palakkad Library

The Central Library serves as the Institute's information hub and offers a pleasant learning environment with a well-curated selection of books, journals, standards, magazines, and newspapers. A variety of audio-visual resources, including CD-ROMs and science kits, are also kept at the library.

With a collection of 700 printed books when it first opened its doors to students, professors, and staff in August 2015, the library now contains more than 6000+ printed barcoded and RFID-tagged books (textbooks, references, popular sciences, and literature) after four years. The library has a variety of high-quality electronic journals that it subscribes to for its customers based on the wants and needs of scholars.

IIT Palakkad Social Life

In addition to the rigorous academic requirements, IIT Palakkad provides students with numerous opportunities for social interaction and bonding with their cohort. IIT Palakkad is well-known for its yearly student initiatives and year-round events. Among the notable events are

Petrichor: IIT Palakkad's annual Petrichor festival, which is entirely student-run and one of South India's fastest-growing techno-cultural fests, draws participants from all across India. Every year, Petrichor seeks to improve upon the previous year by pushing the envelope and reaching new heights. IIT Palakkad Sports

From December 12 to December 19, 2016, IIT Kanpur hosted the 51st inter-IIT sports competition, which featured several of our students. Their display was pretty good.

There are excellent sports facilities here. We have a field that can be used for both football and cricket. A volleyball court and a basketball court are also available. The institute offers regular coaching for some sports, including Badminton, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, and Athletics.

IIT Pallakad intends to install cricket nets on its campus, and most likely, a badminton court will also be set up at the institute's residence hall. An adjacent badminton court, which is not a part of the institute, may be utilized in the meantime. For all of the sports, we have a significant supply of high-quality equipment.
