IIT Ropar to host its Annual Fest ‘Advitiya 2020’

IIT Ropar is set to hold its Annual TechFest ‘Advitiya’ from February 7 – 9, 2020. The three-day extravaganza is one of the biggest techno-management fests of North India and the students are all geared up to make this a utopian event. 

The theme of the fest is ‘Implausible Imagination’ and the institute aims to explore the realm of human prowess that holds potential beyond limits. It will consist of 72 hours of exhilarating competitions and technical events. 

With only a few days to go, here are the events that are scheduled to make Advitiya eventful and memorable. The events include Aeromodelling, Automotive, Coding, Designing, Robotics, and many more with exciting prizes worth over INR 10 Lakhs.

Additionally, the institute has also organized skill development workshops during the fest such as Social Media Marketing SEO, Android App Development, Robotics and Internet of Things (IoT), Ethical Hacking among many others. Besides, there will also be a series of lectures from eminent personalities and scholars. The list includes names like Dr. RajaGopala Chidambaram, Ex-Director of BARC; Dr. Shankar Venugopal, Vice-President, Mahindra & Mahindra; Prof. Navakanta Bhat, Chairperson, IISc Bangalore, Dr. K Radhakrishnan, Former Chairperson of ISRO. The lectures will range from topics like entrepreneurship to science and technology. 

To astound everyone again, IIT Ropar promises unlimited fun and entertainment. The institute will host the best of comedians – Biswa Kalyan Rath, Jaspreet Singh, and Karunesh Talwar, to tickle the funny bones of the audience. There will also be an entertaining night that will witness a starry performance of singers like Harry Sandhu, DJ Ray, and DJ Mady. 

The technical institute is also offering the facilities of accommodation for 3 nights and one can avail the same by paying a nominal fee of INR 400. One can be assured of 3 complete days of grandeur, inspiration, awe, and humor.
