CUCET Exam Pattern 2023: Stream-wise pattern, Marking scheme

Chandigarh University has released the exam pattern of the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test. Candidates can check the exam pattern and sample paper of CUCET at the official website of Chandigarh University. CUCET Exam pattern also contains the details like the examination mode, duration, sections, and marking scheme among others. To study the exam deeply, candidates are advised to also check the CUCET 2023 syllabus.

CUCET Exam Pattern 2023 

CUCET 2023 will be conducted online as a computer-based test only. The medium of examination will be English and the questions will be in the form of MCQs. Each question will have four options out of which one will be the correct answer. The total number of questions will be 100 and the duration of the examination will be 2 hours. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking in CUCET. The Chandigarh University CUCET exam pattern is as follows:

• English is a compulsory subject for most programs
• For the engineering program, there will be 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 10 questions from English.
• For medical courses, there will be 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and 10 questions from English
• For arts and humanities streams there will be 10 questions from general science and 30 questions from English along with other compulsory sections.
• Candidates appearing for arts and humanities programs will be given a choice to select any two subjects among Political Science, Sociology, Economics, and History for the entrance test.
• General Science and English shall remain compulsory papers for the entrance test of the arts and humanities program
• Candidates applying for the commerce stream will be asked 30 questions each from Economics, Accounts, and Business Studies.
• English will be a compulsory paper for the commerce stream with 10 questions in the entrance exam.

Note: It is mandatory for candidates of CUCET 2023 to attempt General Studies and English/ Hindi sections. Out of other sections of the CUCET, 2023 candidates need to attempt questions of any two sections.
