Admission Experience

Did you avail of the benefit of any reservation?

Sejal Ved: “General (No reservation)”

Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any)?

Sejal Ved: “The Writing Ability Test (WAT) was conducted for everyone i.e. around 100 students, together. The topic was announced from the stage and applicants were also given chits with the topic written on it. An A4 sized sheet was given (one could write on both sides) and we were given 20 minutes to write on it.

Pro-tip to crack WAT - Form an opinion. You cannot speak from two or more different perspective. Build a perspective and then stick to it. Pen down your thoughts as they come. 20 minutes go by very soon.”

What was the WAT / GD Topic?

Sejal Ved: "The topic of WAT was - What's worse, arresting a non-criminal for a crime he hasn't done or setting a criminal free due to lack of evidence?”

What were your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Sejal Ved: “I wrote on the lines of - Arresting a non-criminal is worse as this takes off people's trust in the law and order of a country.”

Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

Sejal Ved: “There were 7 panels with 2-3 people in each panel. They were the faculty of the institutes who were a part of the combined interview process. It was offline. My interview went on for about 20-25 minutes. It was not a stressful interview. I was asked questions related to my undergraduate degree, my hobbies, interests and everything that was on my CV.

Pro tip - Always be prepared for the question of Why MBA?

Be ready with stories about the things mentioned in your CV. They might ask you to quote certain incidents.”
