Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any).

Shivam: The admission process of IIFT consists of one Extempore followed by a Personal Interview. There was fixed weightage for both the processes in the final calculation. Same 2 moderators who were reviewing the extempore took the PI. In the extempore round, 1 minute was given to think about a topic and 3 minutes to speak on that topic.

Pro Tip: Be updated with the latest current affairs and speak slowly but clearly for the Extempore.

Collegedunia Team: What was the WAT/GD Topic?

Shivam: The topic was- "Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi In Today's World".

Collegedunia Team: What was your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Collegedunia Team: What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Shivam: The three main reasons were:

  1. All other colleges I converted were tier 2, this is the only tier 1 college I converted.
  2. Being in the heart of Delhi gives IIFT an edge over other colleges.
  3. Reasonable Batch size wrt to other tier 1 colleges.

Collegedunia Team: What was the reason for you not converting other colleges?

Shivam: I was unable to score the required sectional cutoff  in LRDI to get calls from top tier colleges through CAT.

In SIBM there is this Group Activity which is something I was doing for the first time therefore I was not able to perform up to the mark in that particular aspect.

Although I did convert MDI on the later stage because of financial Issues.
