What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Inspiration to improve youth’s life by educating them”

I wanted to become a teacher to make a positive difference on the future of the young generation. This way I can pay back and at the same time can fulfill my desire of enhancing the existing education system. It has been a wonderful journey till date and as a faculty of this college I have full freedom to inculcate the best quality practices to be incorporated which will fulfill the aspirations of learners.

What is your leadership philosophy?

“I believe in teamwork”

IQAC is a core unit within our institute which is responsible for improving quality in every aspect of our working. Therefore, it has to have an interface with multiple institutional activities and departments where everyone can work in a coordinated manner to conform to the high quality standards. The leadership style which suits this work environment must be participative, process-oriented, and focus on open and clear communication with all stakeholders.

How do you strategize the key programs for the marketing and administration of your Institute?

“By segregating the activities as per priority on various social media platforms”

We set measures for the critical to quality activities within every process, and monitor them regularly. Since the work leads to maintenance of accreditation status from agencies like the NBA, NAAC, etc., it also helps in communicating the same to the outside world, thus lending credibility to our academic programs.

We provide all the details related to our college at one place, be it our website, our Facebook or Instagram page. We keep on conducting multiple activities through these online platforms to ensure the engagement of more and more students.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in the Institute?

“Our main objective is to create leaders with entrepreneurial mindset and not just job seekers”

We aim to offer an immersive and transformative experience to aspiring students. What aids this endeavor are our programs and courses that are attuned with the latest developments in the industry, an engaging pedagogy that focuses on theory as well as experiential and participative learning. We promote an open culture in our institute to encourage student-faculty and peer interactions, we have a green and beautiful residential campus, and a number of student-led clubs and conduits that allow students to run and manage these, thereby fostering an entrepreneurial mindset in them.

How does the curriculum of BIMTECH ensure the best practices of industry?

“We take suggestions from industry professionals, alumni and professors on regular basis to prepare and update our curriculum”

While preparing and updating curriculum we do have a formal interaction with industry members to validate the courses and curricula that will be taught in the particular programs. Our placement cell engages the recruiters to gather feedback on new developments in the industry, the alumni cell engages with the alumni for the same purpose. Based on these inputs we regularly update our courses, introduce new relevant courses, and also new areas of specialization.

How is your Institute more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“We accept application from all over the country to take admissions”

Bimtech’s student body is already amongst the most diverse in the country. Our performance in the NIRF parameter of Inclusiveness bears testimony to this. Our student applicants come from all the states of the country and every year our admission teams visit the length and breadth of the country for conducting admission interviews.

What do you think should be the Institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“To bring best business value for college by providing best education”

We are ranked 44th in the country by the NIRF. If you exclude the IIMs, IITs, and the Universities, among standalone private business schools we are ranked close to 15th. Our goal would be to improve this ranking continuously by focusing on our vision and missions. Bimtech has also been accorded Grade I autonomy by the AICTE in 2019. With the NEP recommendations, this also means that we can look forward to being a fully autonomous institution of higher education of considerable importance and size.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Keep a learning attitude always and be open”

Today’s youth is very evolved and knows a lot even before entering a management program. Even then, I would like to suggest a couple of things. First, don’t be blinkered by specializations. Second, management is the only professional program that is unlike any other such as medicine, law, architecture, taxation, etc. in the sense that managers often deal with problems that are unknown and unstructured. To succeed, they need to inculcate vital skills like critical thinking, integrative approach, and innovative thinking.
