What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
“Getting involved in other’s goals and hand-holding them towards its achievement”
Trust and belief are my fundamental approach to dealing with others. Mutual trust and belief are the key ingredients for shaping young minds during their formative years. Identification of one’s potential and interests and assigning my team members the right work that kindles their passion allows them to improve their team working and leadership skills. Exposure to the right technical resources enables them to set higher goals in the work environment. It has always been my practice to get involved with their goals and handhold them towards achieving them. A goal that has been achieved, gets along with it a high sense of accomplishment, and gives an urge to set much higher goals when encouraged and recognized. Providing them with the right ambiance to achieve these goals, and walking along with them has been my commitment and such practice has been well accepted among my team members.
How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?
“A well-structured process brings out a quality product and needs no marketing”
Students are the brand ambassadors of our institutions who spread their experience of overall learning at our institution with the power of positivity to the external world. At SNS, we follow the ‘Design Thinking’ approach which we consider as a key differentiator amongst others. The five pillars of action, viz., the Center for Creativity (CFC), Center for Learning & Teaching (CLT), Skill & Career Development (SCD), Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), and the Social Responsibility Initiatives (SRI) provide the students with the overall development during their education here. All major programs conducted with the campus are planned and well attended by participants throughout the country. These events are on par with those held at premier institutions. An exclusive team takes care of the marketing of all programs through digital media and social networks throughout the years under the direct supervision and guidance of the top management.

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
“Giving a sense of belonging to every student”
SNS institution attracts students from various parts of the country belonging to different ethnicities. The social ambiance of acceptability and learning culture teaches and practices respect for one another despite the differences. The institution provides a neutral religious environment and also encourages students to embrace their culture. Along with the government aids to support the economically weaker class of students, the institution also provides various scholarships to the students’ community to ensure all deserving students are equally given world-class education and industrial exposure irrespective of their financial status.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the University and the students are?
“To make the students non-conventional thinkers and solvers of societal issues”
As an institute with commitment, values, and vision, it is our primary duty to the University and the society at large to mold academically rich, practically skilled, and responsible professionals. There is no compromising on the integrity and the modesty of the educational system. It is also our responsibility and mission to expose and train our student community in the best of academic and industrial knowledge. We empower them to firmly stand as a novel professional who can relate to the societal and industrial demands and become skilled handlers of the latest technologies.
What do you think should be the University’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“Imbibing the qualities of good conduct, self-confidence, and high values”
Despite significant progress being made over the last few years, the higher education sector throughout the country is facing three broad challenges. They are-
- Quality in curriculum and Teaching
- Constraints on Research and Innovation
- Imbibing Culture and Values.
These challenges are to be converted to success and it would be the top priority for our Institution over the next 10 years. Competent faculty members who are passionate about teaching the engineering community will be identified through a systematic recruitment process. Constraints on research capacity and innovation will be enhanced by building a research culture among junior faculty members, creating opportunities for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary working. Education without values is like a flower without fragrance, and so the students will be made to realize that character building is equally important to career building.

What do you see as SNS College’s greatest strengths?
“Being able to make the student’s talent into a product of market value”
The presence of a well experienced Governing Council is one of the major foundational pillars of SNS Institution. Being accredited by the NAAC body with an A+ grade and having received NBA accreditation for five programs itself, stands as an endorsement from the government assessment bodies on the quality of education at SNS. The culture and practice of research are so rich that the teaching fraternity and the student community work in collaboration across domains to deliver an empathizing solution for the problems that exist in the Society. Anna University has given its recognition to five of our departments as research centers and that vouches for the credibility of the research work. Through the establishment of Innovation Hub (I-Hub), faculties and students are given the infrastructure and guidance to give life to their ideas.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
“The day dawns only to those who have hope for tomorrow”
The youth of today are rich in creativity, overflowing with ideas, and sharp in acquiring knowledge. Being a student with can-do-attitude, a persistent heart and a well-seasoned mind with the depth of knowledge and the right technology is what the youth of today needs to be to realize their dreams in life. Suggestions for the youth would be, to follow one's dreams; never let failures hinder; learn by experience; acquire skills and knowledge that will help bring the dreams into reality.
How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute?
“Instilling a sense of self-consciousness and positive attitude towards each other”
The establishment of a healthy environment lies in the acceptance of people as they are, the constant development of oneself through competitive learning, and carrying out the daily routine as a professional. Respecting the freedom provided, but with a concern for others, are few of the apostles of the institution to enable a healthy relationship between the student community and the working fraternity. The environment at SNS doesn’t rigidly condemn what is wrong, but gently guides and promotes what is good.
