What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Constant learning and frequent up-gradation of skill”

As I held key positions at several educational institutes and industries, I experienced a constant flow of knowledge that is a must in one’s life. Upskilling oneself and creation of new ideas with modern technology is the current trend. Teaching is my passion and I have been continuously associated with the education sector, learning a lot and so always motivating the students to learn for a better future.

How do you strategize the key plans for the administration of your institute?

“Focusing on needs and benefits of the students”

Being the Director of SRIIT, I focus on getting to know each student as an individual. This personal approach ensures we provide individual support and access to opportunities that are suited to each student’s chosen fields of interest. I also focus on the intramural as well as the external aura of the Institute. On the administrative front, I try to focus on academic reforms with the all-around development of students and placements in government and private sectors.

How is your institute more welcoming to students of different backgrounds?

“Multicultural environment and financial aids”

Multiculturalism in faculties and other staff in our college provide extensive exposure to students and prepare them for the global society. We are providing scholarship assistance for the one who is meritorious and also for the one who is from an underprivileged section of society. We offer a stable, diverse and positive environment with a completely constructive mindset to our students.

What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Improvising academics and research”

As part of the planning process, all programs, divisions, units and areas will be looked into for improvement. Advancements will be there in the research arena, to have an adaptable brand strategy and regularity, and to review and evaluate the functioning of current programs. In this way, we prioritize offering high-quality education continuously.

What do you see as the SIIT’s greatest strengths?

“Large scale facilities, prominent alumni and collaborations”

Shriram Group of Colleges has an established history of imparting excellent technical and professional education. We offer degree programs in different streams such as engineering, pharmacy, science and management. I think that college infrastructure, lab equipment, library and experienced faculties are the major strengths of the institute that people may identify by visiting the college and by coordinating with the faculty. Our alumni’s placement at prominent places and their affection to the Institute in the form of career guidance to the students and their career guidance in the form of workshops, seminars, invited talks has always been our strength. Our Industrial collaboration with different renowned MNC’S and our faculties and staff support for the campus mission is our strength.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in India?

“Degrading quality of resources in an institution”

The main issues that higher and technical education in India is confronted with are the decreasing teaching quality besides finance, failure to retain experienced faculty and mushrooming of low-quality institutes. Also, to develop quality human resources for academic institutions and society is a challenge.
