It is my responsibility to keep the stakeholders; faculty and students; happy and satisfied

As a head of an Institution it my responsibility that the two main stakeholders of this system, The students and Faculty are happy and satisfied. I constantly am in touch with both the stakeholders trying to get an idea of problems they are facing on a regular basis and brainstorming with them to come up with mutually beneficial solutions. My style of leadership is very simple. Optimal use of all resources to Maximise the output of students and faculty

The essence of marketing and PR taper down to the approach of communication

When it comes to marketing and PR, it all boils down to one factor, communication. All the programs offered in our college have industry oriented electives. Teaching learning process is effectively carried out by our eminent faculty with modernised infrastructure. Being located in the heart of Chennai city KK nagar, our mantra for this year’s admission campaign is ‘MINIMUM TRAVELLING –MAXIMUM LEARNING’. This year’s strategy is to spread all the above points among students circles through an omni channel communication.

The industry experienced faculty forms the backbone to provide industry relevant knowledge

Even though we are following the curriculum of affiliating Anna University, Chennai, our teaching process makes the difference. More than 25% of our faculty are from Industry background hence they teach what the industry needs beyond the syllabus. These people exactly know the kind of students that various core and IT companies are looking for and try to equip our students with those skills and knowledge . 

We go out of the way to ensure that there is no sort of discrimination among students

Our college is located at the centre of Metro city Chennai. Our faculty and staff are from multi cultural educational backgrounds. We collect only govt prescribed fees. We provide scholarships to deserving students and those in need. We facilitate the students to get grants, Scholarships and loans from various sources. At Meenakshi College of Engineering, we go out of the way to ensure that there is no sort of discrimination among students whatsoever. Hence our college will be an ideal choice.

The dissemination of knowledge to the students and contribution to the body of knowledge is a pivotal aspect

As a Professor, I feel my foremost responsibilities are the dissemination of knowledge to the students and contribution to the body of knowledge. Apart from these, Teaching, Training and helping the students in what they want to pursue I.e., corporate jobs, Industries, Startups or Higher studies. As a principal, these are my responsibilities towards both, the college and the students.

We are aiming to move towards digital platforms to disseminate education to the students

As we know, the new normal is about to change. Our immediate top priority is to have 50% of our teaching in digital mode. For that we are focussing on securing the required additional infrastructure and Training to the faculty currently. In the near future, Meenakshi College of Engineering will be the pioneer in TN when it comes to offering education through digital modules.

We are working hard to emerge as the center of excellence in technical education

The vision of our college is to emerge as a center of excellence in technical education and provide an outstanding launch-pad for future technocrats. As I interact more with the management of our college, my will to make this vision a reality gets firmed. As the principal of Meenakshi College of Engineering, the three components of my vision for our students are employment, Higher studies and entrepreneurship. We are already half way through this as our placement cell is doing an excellent job in getting our students placed in good companies. We will achieve the remaining too very soon.

The board members are drawn from various walks of life and are eminent personalities with proven success in education, research and teaching apart from social service. Apart from that, our eminent faculty, Supporting staff and ever increasing infrastructure will transform our students into spirited professionals.

Bringing change in the mindset of the people often forms a big challenge

The biggest challenge for any higher educational Institution is the people’s mindset about employment and career after the study. The same is for our college as well.
