Ms.S.Chakra Sireesha is a Professor at Malla Reddy Engineering College, Hyderabad, Telangana. She is a postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Department of MREC.

She has 12 years of teaching experience throughout her career and has worked as an Assistant Professor in several colleges like Gokula Krishna Engineering College, QIS College Of Engineering &Technology, and MREC. What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students in MREC?

“Ensure the discipline, timelines, attendance, and idea development of students”

Completion of the syllabus at the correct time is the primary part. I will ensure the attendance and discipline of students daily. Moreover, I motivate and encourage the students for placements, higher education and lead them to a career path. It is necessary to counsel them to overcome the problems and progress the practical learning. 

What are your views and preparation on placements and higher education of students in the department?

“Campus recruitment training program and prepare the students for IELTS, GRE, TOFE” 

The placement department is going well over the past few years. Many pupils get placed by big companies. Campus recruitment training events are held every year. In my opinion, getting placed in a reputed firm is a sign of a better future. However, the rate of students enrolling in higher education has risen recently. The majority of candidates pursue their studies in foreign countries like Germany, US, Canada & UK. Moreover, the campus motivates the students to prepare for IELTS, GRE, TOFEL. Hence, it helps them to pursue an excellent career in higher education. 

What is your advice to students in MREC for a prosperous career?

“Identify the interest, work with passion, and achieve success”

I suggest the students look after their interests, work with passion and give a sincere effort for success. There are several steps to becoming a successful person instead of aiming. A goal is achieved through mixing the dream, desire, and implementation. The fruitful results will get to students only after determination and focus. My advice for students is to live a personal life, motivate themselves and face challenges. In the practical world, being slow is a negative word. My advice is a slow and steady win in all races. Hence, work hard and win your race.

What are your approaches apart from curriculum to train the students in MREC?

“Encourage students to compete in the outside world and provide stable health”

A correct education helps the students to succeed in all fields. We ensure the stable health of students and motivate them for outside competition. By keeping these things, our college designs the curriculum. The students association council in our college aids in training students in several streams like singing, dancing, sports, and literary activities. Moreover, the activities included in each course provide a 100% essential curriculum to students. 

How do you help the students to high competition in the outside world?

“Identifying the strength and weakness helps to win any contest”

Mere knowledge is not sufficient in the present world. On the other hand, identifying your strengths and weak parts is vital to success. We motivate the candidates to involve in hackathons, design challenges, coding challenges, innovations, sports, etc. The campus recruitment ensures confidence in the technical and communication basics of a student. We invite a famous person from several industries to conduct guest lectures. Industrial visit is essential every year. All these matters help to win the high competition in the outside world.

What is the admission rate in your Malla Reddy Engineering College?

“Admission rate is 100%, and it has increased from the previous year”

The admission rate in the campus is excellent every year and the current year consists of 100%. The admission has enhanced over the past year. However, the status of rate in the past 2 to 3 years is low. But, after the outreach of institutions, the level of admission rises gradually. We are happy that 90% of entries take place this year during the first counseling. We have become more confident in achieving 100% at the end of counseling.

What extracurricular programs do you have to help students abilities to face global challenges?

“College fests, sports activities, and interaction cells bring the skills”

The technological and physical needs of candidates prioritize on campus. We organize extracurricular activities for the efficiency and stability of students. Moreover, industrial institute interaction cells on campus motivate the skills of candidates. Our college develops competitive spirits in students through fests and sports activities, intercollege competitions. A playground for sports activities helps for extra activities of pupils. 

How do you plan to introduce new programs at Malla Reddy Engineering College?

“Emerging technologies in new courses for students”

Yes, The unique courses are learned through the center of excellence in our college. Moreover, the best programs introduced by management ensure the future career of students. This year, our institution provides programs like cyber security, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Internet of things. These courses are emerging technology in several companies. We plan to introduce a few training programs in the upcoming year.
