Admission to the courses is done through a entrace test irganised by the university.

• The following requirements must be met by applicants for the PhD full-time/part-time programme:
• Candidates for admission to the full-time or part-time Ph.D. programme must possess a Master's degree or a professional degree that has been declared equivalent to the Master's degree by the appropriate statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% overall marks or its equivalent grade "B" in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading systems are used), or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Commission for Foreign Academic Programs
• According to the commission's decision from time to time, candidates who fall under the SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently Abled and other categories of candidates, or who received their Master's degree before September 19, 1991, may be granted a 5% mark relaxation from 55% to SAY, or an equivalent grade relaxation.

• It is required of the applicants to complete the online application form on the CMR University website.(www.cmr.edu.in)
• Application fee of Rs L500l- shall be paid online or cash at the office.
• The CMRU website lists the openings for Ph.D. admission in numerous disciplines till 2022. for details please refer to www.cmr.edu.in.

CMR University Bangalore PhD Admission 2023: Admission Procedure

• For all qualified candidates, a multiple-choice entrance exam will be given. 50% is the required admission test score to pass. Half of the entrance exam's curriculum will cover research technique, and the other half will be focused on the candidate's chosen area of expertise. The CMR University will host the entrance exam.
• Candidates in the following category are excluded from the entrance test:
• Candidates who have passed the SET/SLET, GATE, UGC/CSIR NET URF, or any other test deemed comparable by AlU.
• Candidates who passed the entrance test and were granted exemptions from it must show up for a personal interview or viva voce that the Research Admission Committee will conduct.
