What latest programs do you offer that help students outperform?

“Additional NPTEL courses for practical skills”

Along with diverse conventional courses, we give training on some technical software like Catia, Ansys as per the university syllabus. Apart from this, we get the students to enroll for the NPTEL - National Programme on Technical Enhanced Learning programs as well through which students can learn not only the theory but also acquire the necessary practical application-based skills. So, as soon as students complete the credits they are awarded the B.E. Honors Degree.

What are the factors that make this program the best for the students to opt?

“Defined learning model and digital access”

We are bound with the University’s structure and follow university models such as internship and training wherein the students can be well-groomed with theoretical knowledge. For understanding the concepts, we interact with teachers and faculty from the industries and higher institutions as well. Also, we have a green and digital campus where students can access classes within one hour of being delivered.

What will you say are the best practices in the course you’re offering?

“Making students industry ready at every step”

We offer many technical and social workshops and conferences to students and also ensure that the students are getting hands-on experience and not only chalk and talk. Students are taken to the laboratories for a practical explanation, outside workshops for detailed understanding and so on. These practices ensure that students understand the taught concepts well enough to apply. We aid practical exposure by bridging the gap between college and industry through expert talks, internships and training.

How do the programs ensure that students are being prepared for the future?

“Equipping students with the necessary relevant skills with time”

We plan ahead in the sense that as soon as the students complete their education in 4 years’ time, they should be employable or ready to pursue higher studies. Our aim is not only to get students employable but our focus is on developing students to become Entrepreneurs as well. We start the soft skills training like presentations and interactions for the students from the initial stages itself and in the 3rd year, we offer some technical courses to diversify their field of study. And, in the final year, we offer Aptitude and Listening Ability classes, Group Discussions, etc. so that the students are well prepared by the time of placements.

How did you train your faculty to deliver this program to the students?

“FDPs and lecture series to enhance within”

Firstly, we conduct a variety of FDPs and orientation programs for faculty related to different subjects. Experts are invited to suggest and advise the faculty as well. Faculties are made to conduct lectures, interact and lastly record the videos at IITs Virtual lab and share the same with students. Even experiments are available live so that faculty and students can clear their doubts simultaneously.

How do you tend to build an industry connect with your programs?

“Expert lectures and industrial visits”

Our primary goal is to connect students and build them according to the industry requirements. Every semester we conduct technical lectures by industry experts and a minimum of 2 industrial visits are planned for each student depending on the department they are in. They spend an entire day there and prepare reports as well on the displayed projects and assignments, so they get a fair idea about how the industry works.
