Ajay Kumar Agrawal Review at University Of Auckland [UOA], Auckland | Collegedunia

The University of Auckland - Small review from an Indian student

AA
7.7 /10

It has good QS ranking in overall university category as well as for Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Course Curriculum :

Well for PhD, there is no course requirement as such. You need to focus on your research work, which you can take in any industry relevant area, which is agreed by your guide.

Exams :

English language test IELTS is required. A score above 6.5 in each component will suffice.

Placement :

Well this highly depends upon in which area you are taking up your research. However, New Zealand in itself has a great scope of infrastructure and construction, so ample opportunities in that area. Also, students can try for post-doctoral opportunities across the world based on their PhD research work and academic contacts established during PhD.

Internship :

Not till now.

Fees :

It is nearly 9000 NZD per year for PhD programme.

Scholarship :

I have received the University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarship.

Faculty :

Faculties are highly research oriented and very well qualified. I am currently working with Prof. Yang Zou and he is really good.

Campus Life :

Due to current situation of COVID-19 lockdown, I have not been to the campus. However, based on information I have, campus infrastructure is really fantastic, it provides highly competitive research infrastructure. There are a lot of events and societies/clubs in which students can take part and mingle with other people from different culture.

Hostel :

No Idea as of now, as I am currently an offshore student.
