The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE Exam) is a computer based test jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and other seven Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) at Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee on behalf of National Coordination Board (NCB). The purpose of the GATE exam is to test students knowledge and understanding of their under Graduate level subjects in Engineering and Science.
