Admissions at University Of Mannheim, Germany take place twice a year- in the Fall and Spring semesters. Every year around 11,640 students attend the university under which 7200 students enroll for the undergraduate programs and 3,760 enroll for the master’s programs. University of Mannheim selects the students for admission on the basis of different admission criteria. A ranking list is released if the number of applications received exceeds the number of study spots available on the program. 5% of study spots are designated for applicants who are experiencing financial hardship, and 1% are reserved for applicants who are connected to a public-interest location (e.g. athletes).

Some master's programs do not have a strict admissions policy. For non-selective programs, admission is provided to every applicant who meets the admission standards and applies in a timely and complete manner. Admission decisions are declared within a few weeks after the application period ends.
