CBSE Class 12 Question Papers (Available), Students' Reaction, Analysis & Result

CBSE class 12 exams 2023 will end on April 5 with the Psychology exam. The exams of all the major subjects have already concluded. Students can now download the set-wise CBSE class 12 question papers 2023 for all subjects. Around 16,96,770 students appeared for the class 12 board exams this year. 

  • Candidates can expect their CBSE class 12 results to be declared in May 2023.
  • The results will be released on the official website results.cbse.nic.in. 

CBSE conducted the class 12 Accountancy paper on March 31, 2023. The question paper contained total 34 questions divided into 2 sections – A and B. Part A contained MCQs and 3 to 6 marks questions mainly application-based. Part B had a mix of direct and application-based questions. The overall difficulty level of the paper was easy to moderate. CBSE Class 12 History Question Papers 2023

CBSE class 12 History exam has been conducted successfully by the board on March 29, 2023. The exam was conducted for a total of 80 marks and included 34 questions. Students found the paper easy and scoring. All the questions were from the prescribed syllabus but for some students, the paper was a bit lengthy. There were a total of 5 sections in the paper with the MCQs section carrying simple and direct questions. The long answer type questions were lengthy, however, source-based questions were easy. CBSE Class 12 Business Studies Question Paper 2023

CBSE class 12 Business Studies exam was scheduled on March 25, 2023. The exam was held for a total of 80 marks and included 34 questions. The overall paper was easy and balanced as per the students. The paper was also not lengthy and students could complete the paper within the given time. Around 40% of questions in the exam were direct and NCERT-based. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme

CBSE Central Sector Scholarship Scheme

CBSE invited applications for central sector scheme of scholarship for the students studying in class 10 and 12. The students who want to apply for the scholarship were supposed fill the application form online before October 31, 2022. The application had to be made on the national scholarship portal i.e. scholarship.gov.in

  • The registration was open for fresh application, first renewal of 2021, second renewal of 2020, third renewal of 2019 and fourth renewal of 2018. 
  • Applications could be made only through the online mode.
Class 12 Application Process

CBSE Class 12 Application Form 2023

CBSE class 12 application forms are made available on the official website of the board. On behalf of the regular students, the school authorities have to fill out the CBSE 12th registration form online. Students need to provide the correct details to their school authorities because the information would be printed on their admit cards. Students registering for the board exams are also required to pay the registration fee to their respective schools. 

  • All the candidates are required to apply through their school only. No direct online applications will be permitted. 
  • Candidates are required to submit the details carefully as no changes will be allowed later.

CBSE 12th Registration Form 2023 for Private Candidates

Students who are appearing privately shall fill and submit the application form on the official website of CBSE. The application fee is also required to be submitted online. Check the below-mentioned steps in order to fill out the application form:

CBSE Class 12 Admit Card 2023

CBSE class 12 admit cards have been issued on the official website cbse.gov.in on February 7, 2023. Admit card is mandatory for students appearing for the class 12 board exams. Candidates who will be appearing in the exam with regular candidature are required to collect their CBSE class 12 admit card from the respective schools. Private candidates have to download the admit card from the official website of CBSE. 

How to Download CBSE Class 12 Admit Card 2023?

The steps to download the admit card for the CBSE class 12 exams are as follows: 

  • Visit the official website – cbse.gov.in.
  • Go to the ‘Pariksha Sangam’ tab. Click on continue. 
  • Now, click on the ‘Schools’ option and then go to the ‘Pre-Exam Activities’ tab. 
  • Now click on the option ‘Admit Card, Centre Material for Main Exam 2023’. 
  • Enter the login credentials. The CBSE class 12 admit card download link will be displayed on the screen. 
  • Download the admit card and provide it to the students.

CBSE class 12 result will be released in May 2023, tentatively. Students will be able to check their results on the official website of the board – results.cbse.nic.in. To check result, students need to enter their roll number, school number and admit card ID in the respective fields.

How to Check Result via DigiLocker App?

CBSE class 12 students can access their results via DigiLocker. Here are the steps on how to access results through DigiLocker.

  • Download the DigiLocker app via Google playstore or app store.  
  • After downloading the app, register with the app using the number that has been registered with CBSE.
  • An OTP will be received on the registered number, which will be required to complete the registration process.
  • The app will request you to enter a six-digit security pin. The security pin will be the last six digits of your respective CBSE board exam roll number.
  • After submission of the security pin, a student will be able to access their CBSE class 12 result.

How to get CBSE Class 12 Result via SMS?

CBSE class 12 results can be accessed via SMS also. Candidates can send an SMS - cbse12_roll number_school code_centre number to 7738299899. Alternatively, one can also call on 24300699 for Delhi (National Informatics Centre - NIC) and 011 – 24300699 (for other parts of the country). 

Class 12 Exam Pattern

CBSE Class 12 Exam Pattern 2022-23

CBSE has scrapped the term-wise exam policy for the academic year 2022-23. The final class 12 examinations will start in the month of February 2023. In the year 2023, each exam will be conducted for a total of 100 marks which are further divided for practicals/internal assessment and theory papers. The theory papers will carry 70 marks and 30 marks will be allotted on the basis of practicals and internal assessment. 

  • The question paper usually consists of the following type of questions: very short answer questions (1 mark each), short answer type questions I (2 marks each), short answer type questions II (3 marks each), value-based question (4 marks) and long answer type questions (5 marks each).
  • There are total five subjects in class 12 including one compulsory language paper i.e. English.
  • Theory: This includes the board exams which cover the entire syllabus of class XII. Marks and grades are assigned on the basis of a 9-point grading system. Grades will be given for each scholastic subject.
  • Assessment of Co-Scholastic Areas: An objective assessment will be prepared by the concerned teacher on the basis of level of performance/participation by a student throughout the academic year and grades will be assigned accordingly.

CBSE Class 12 Syllabus

CBSE Class 12 Syllabus 2022-23

CBSE class 12 syllabus 2022-23 has been released by the board. The syllabus has not been divided into term-wise category which shows that the board will conduct one exam only from the upcoming session. Important Books for CBSE Class 12 Exams

As per the guidelines of CBSE the candidates are suggested to study from NCERT books. The questions that are framed for the board exam are directly from these books. 

NCERT is the official organisation responsible for creating the class 12 educational content. However, there are a lot of reference books available in the market. CBSE Class 12 Books: Online Availability

NCERT has made all the books available online for the convenience of students free of cost. Candidates can download NCERT textbooks or take a printout of the same.

  • The books have been made available online because the shops were closed for a long time due to the nationwide lockdown.
  • The authority has also suggested the teachers make the online classes more interactive with enhanced activities and performing assignments in short lectures.
Single Girl Child Scholarship

CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme

CBSE has closed the application deadline for Single Girl Child Scholarship. All eligible candidates could register till November 30, 2022. The last date to verify the applications for schools was December 7, 2022. CBSE provides financial assistance to all single girl students under this Post Matric Scholarship Scheme (for classes 11 and 12). The application form should be filled online on the official website of CBSE i.e. cbse.gov.in. The renewal application shall also be filled in the same way as of the fresh application. The eligibility criteria to avail the scholarship is as follows:

  • The female candidates who have passed class 10 from CBSE with at least 60% marks are eligible to apply for this scholarship. 
  • The candidates should have been studying in CBSE-affiliated school with a tuition fee of not more than Rs. 1500.00.
  • The applicant should be an Indian Citizen.
  • The candidate should be the only child of her parents.

CBSE Class 12 Revaluation

CBSE Class 12 Revaluation and Rechecking 2023

Students can apply for rechecking/revaluation of their answer sheets if they are not satisfied with their marks. The application for verification will begin after the declaration of CBSE class 12 result. During verification, the board will check answer sheets for any totalling mistake or unchecked/unmarked answers. The updated marks will be notified and then students who want to go ahead for revaluation can request for obtaining photocopy of their answer sheets. Then they can select the questions whose answers they want to be re-evaluated.  

In 2022, the revaluation process began on July 26, 2022. The tentative schedule for class 12 revaluation process for the year 2023 is as follows:

Class 12 Revaluation Result 2023

The board will release the revaluation and rechecking result in July 2023, tentatively. Candidates will be required to enter their board roll number, admit card ID and school number in order to access the result. The total marks may be reduced in the revaluation process and no claims shall be accepted for reduced marks. The steps to check the result are as follows:

  • Visit the official website - results.cbse.nic.in.
  • Click on ‘CBSE 12th updated result after revaluation, result later and combined result, for compartment candidates’.
  • Enter the roll number, reg ID, admit card ID, center and school number.
  • Click on submit.
  • The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Download the result for future reference.
Class 12 Compartment Exams

CBSE Class 12 Compartment Exams 2023

CBSE will conduct compartment exams for students who failed in class 12 board exams. In 2022, the CBSE 12th compartment exams were conducted on a single day i.e. August 23, 2022. The applications for appearing in compartment exams are generally started after the revaluation process is completed.  

  • The compartment exams will be conducted in different time slots on the exam day. The complete datesheet will be available on the official website. 
  • The admit card for class 12 compartment examinations will be released separately. Schools can download the admit card and distribute it to their students. 
  • The syllabus for compartment exams will be the same as that of class 12 syllabus. 

Steps to Download Compartment Exam Admit Card

The following are the steps to download CBSE 12th admit card for compartment exams:

  • Go to the official website cbse.gov.in
  • Click on ‘Pariksha Sangam’ tab and then on ‘Schools’. A new page will open up. 
  • Now, go to ‘Pre Exam Activities’ tab and click on the link ‘Admit Card, Centre Material for Comptt. Exam 2023’. 
  • Enter the details required for login like username and password. 
  • The admit card will appear on the screen. 
  • Download the admit card and save it for future. 
Class 12 Improvement Exams

CBSE Class 12 Improvement Exams 2023

Students who are not satisfied with their performance in the CBSE 12th exam can apply for improvement in the respective subjects. The result of these exams will be declared by the CBSE Board later. The best score from the improvement and board exams will be taken into consideration while making the final scorecard.

Students are advised to go through the eligibility criteria as per CBSE before applying for the improvement exam. If the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria, his/her exam form will be cancelled.

  • Candidates are eligible only if they have passed the previous Board Exam they had appeared for.
  • Only candidates who want to raise their previously scored marks are allowed to give the improvement exam.
  • He/she must have studied from CBSE Board.
  • He/she must not have a compartment in any subject.
  • He/she can only write an improvement exam for the subjects he previously appeared for.
  • Improvement exams can be given for subjects out of the five main subjects only.

CBSE Class 12 Exam Day Guidelines

The important guidelines for class 12 students are given below: 

  • It is mandatory to take exams in school uniform only.
  • Students must carry their respective CBSE class XII admit cards, signed by parents, to the allotted exam center.
  • All instructions given on the back of the admit card should be read carefully before appearing for the examination.
  • Banned items like mobile phones, calculators, and smartwatch and (or) any cheating material should not be carried to the exam hall.
  • Reporting time for the examination is 10 AM.

Ans. CBSE 12th results are expected to be declared in May 2023. Candidates can check their results on the official website of the board.
