Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen this course because of the placement and the brand value of Delhi Technological University. The faculty is well experienced and helps in any way. There are almost 2500 students in our batch. Exams are held per semester wise and you can pass them easily by studying 2-3 days before the exam

Campus Life:

There are mainly 4 fests at Delhi Technological University. Firstly, 'Yuvaan ' is the literature and film festival fest. Second, ' INVICTUS' is the tech-fest of our college. Third, 'ENGIFEST' This is the cultural fest and last 'AAHAVAN' is the sports fest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I take this course upper than electrical engineering and mechanical engineering because I like physics and most of the tech companies allow engineering physics to sit in placements. The faculty is not too good not too bad. Most of the professors are good and many of not. The majority are boys. Girls are in numbers. Faculty are qualified and most of them are iitians. Terms exams are held in 3 or 4 months. To pass, it's easy or difficult depending upon how you take this. If you study 10 days before exams are quite easy to pass.

Campus Life:

The annual fest is Engi-fest North Delhi best feat held on DTU. And many tech fests, Yuvan. Engi-fest was conducted in February. The library is large enough and there are lots of books for students and also other books. Besides of own courses. Classrooms are big enough and neat and clean. Sports facilities are proper. There is everything for you to discover. There are many societies that conduct most activities. The resource is a website run by students and is helpful for most of the students.

Engineering life is stressful but it is true it is very enjoyable also There are many things in dtu to enjoy life. There are many fests happen in dtu like yuvaan and the biggest fest 'engifest'. This fest most of the time happens in February. we have tech fest as well as IEEE which is tech fest. There are many books available for students which they can study on library or they can issue the book through their id card. We have best best classroom and have AC as well as in classroom and projector, whiteboard, and light as well. In dtu many opportunities in sports as well as and dtu have good ground area-wise. And many other extra activities happen in dtu like madhurima, and many activities. Roundtable is one of the clubs which is run by a student of dtu and provide junior the information and many important things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the Engineering Physics branch. Firstly I am a tech-oriented person and if we only exclude some companies almost every company is open for the Engineering Physics branch in terms of placements and internships. There is a good ratio between teacher and student. There is 65:1. The teachers are highly qualified they have done their BTech, MTech, Ph.D., and other things to teach. Hod's are too much qualified they have the best method to teach the student. The ist year is a little small as compared to another year. And exams are a bit complex and hard. If you don't study you have a very less chance that you can pass the exam. So you have to study medium to pass the exam.

There are many annual fests such as Engifest, Yuvaan, and Aahvaan. Tech fests are very interesting and cool. Engifest in February, yuvaan in February before Engifest, and Aahvaan (sports fest) in March. Sports complex and a cool campus. Many sports and too many (in a good way) societies for music, dance, poetry, and tech societies (robotics and stuff). Freesources is a website run by students (seniors) and volunteers which provides notes and assignments, it is a very important thing to have as it helps everyone on their exams and academics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I can handle physics and you are allowed to appear in the placement of all kinds of firms such as tech companies, and non-tech companies, and core is also an option. The faculty is fine, not too involved, and rather strict in terms of exams and marking, labs are cool. The student ratio is very few girls compared to guys. The qualifications of the faculty are good. Exams are held every two months and they are manageable if you study properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Engineering physics is the best course if you want to pursue a career in physics. Engineering physics encompasses all branches of physics. For every single subject in our 4-year Btech Course, there are about 3 - 4 teachers and about 50 - 60 students. So about 15:1 The faculty are well versed and are all PHDs, and the teaching method is intuitive. Major exams are once every semester at end of minor exams are every semester in the middle of the term. (1 year = 2 semesters). The difficulty of exams is moderate, not hard to pass.

Placement Experience:

After the 8th semester students become eligible for campus placements, after the 6th semester the 7th and 8th semesters are specifically for internships. Apple, Microsoft, Google and more than fifty 1 crore offers were made. The highest package is about 2 crores The average package is 30 lakhs Due to the recession, the placement percentage dropped but usually, 90 per cent of students get placements. Startup, entrepreneurship after my degree

Elan & Nvision is the annual fest which is huge compared to other colleges in the city except for bits-h. The library currently is limited but will be expanded upon completion of the new building, classrooms are well equipped, and decent sports facilities are already available, when the sports complex is completed it will have the best sports facilities of all colleges in Telangana. Almost 20 clubs here are run by students and any interest you have, you can surely work on.

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for placements. All the major companies visit IITH as it is an IIT, and if you have the skills you will almost certainly be placed. The highest package is around 57L and the average package is around 27L per annum. Around 70 percent of students get placed. And if you are in engineering physics the scope for research is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to major in technology, but my rank wasn't high enough to qualify for cs, it or ece. Fortunately, engineering physics is a tech-related branch that you may choose from since you can acquire it with a low rank. There are 75 students in each batch. End-term exams are not too challenging, you can pass them by studying the night before or the night before the exam. Most of the students begin preparing a week before the exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is good if you are selecting it for higher studies and research purposes and also my college gives great opportunity and priority to the EP branch for placements and internships. And faculties are good and bad both it only depends on which course and which faculty is allotted to you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I had a particular interest in Physics a lot, I went for this course Engineering Physics. Here is the EP department, faculty to the student is good as the number of intakes for this course is very less than compared to other departments. Most of our faculties had done Doctorate from Good Colleges, But still, something it's difficult to concentrate in class with few faculties. So we Have Mid Sem( during 2nd to 3rd month of the semester) and Then End Sem(during 4th to 5th month of the semester). If you are consistent then the exam is very easy to pass but if you think as 1 nighter before the exam is pretty hard but still kinda manageable in a few subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I was interested in learning advanced physics and an IIT is a good place to graduate from for various prospects. I looked through the course material and found it interesting as well. A student ratio is about 6:1 as you have a faculty advisor available from the first year. As your course progresses you are involved more closely with profs. Most of the professors have a Ph.D. from an IIT or IISc or any other reputed foreign university. They have a great reputation in the nation as well as globally. Teaching methods include classroom teaching, slides, and tutorials to solve questions. Term exams are held in November and May and if you are attentive enough in classes and revise well it is not very tough to pass. But the marking here is relative Grading so you must score higher in class for a good grade.

Ques. Is it worth it to do engineering physics from NIT Calicut?

● Top Answer By Akanksha Pandey on 24 Mar 21

Ans. You would first decide whether it is a good option to do Engineering Physics, then no matter whichever college you choose. It is important that you know a few details before making a final decision about college. About the course:  Engineering Physics is a 4-year programme whose course commences in the first year and for three years you will study the same structure as of BSc-Physics.  It includes Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, etc. But in Engineering Physics practical knowledge is given more importance which will help you gaining extermination knowledge.  Placements: A career after Engineering Physics is not promising. You cannot expect to get a place on campus with an Engineering Physics degree.  There are not many companies that have the Engineering Physics job requirement.  Most of the companies have different recruitment processes which cannot be done on-campus, except government firms like DRDO, BARC, etc. You should not lose hope as college faculties and alumni help students in getting placed by identifying your interest.  Scope: Some students after completing Engineering Physics go for an MSc course and get into research and join IITs or institutes such as BARC.  To get good opportunities you have to work hard and keep taking GRE, GATE, and other exams to clear it.  If you do not want to go for research, then you can join a non-engineering job or can go for TFI etc. Therefore, if you have an interest in Engineering Physics and ready to work hard then go for it. It will surely pay you well. Most of the college faculties also help students in getting placed, so do not worry much about it.Read more

Ques. Which is better: Engineering Physics at IIT Bombay or Electrical Engineering at IIT Roorkee?

● Top Answer By Sumit Bose on 18 Mar 23

Ans. It would be suggested to pursue Engineering Physics at IIT Bombay rather than Electrical Engineering at IIT Roorkee.  When it comes to studying physics at IITB, there are some key differences between JEE physics and college-level physics. Here are some important points to keep in mind: In JEE physics, you study formula derivations after brief explanations of concepts and practice a lot of problems in that topic. College-level physics courses are typically more rigorous in theoretical and mathematical content, and problems are solved to help you understand the concepts more deeply. While EE does not have any pure physics courses after the first year, it focuses on making you an electrical engineer. Core courses include analog and digital electronics, signals and systems, network theory, electronic devices, microprocessors, power electronics, and some relevant math courses. EP, on the other hand, has core courses like quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, statistics, relativity, classical mechanics, waves and optics, nuclear physics, etc. There are also important math courses up to your second year. EP trains you in core physics concepts and prepares you for experimental physics and electronics, giving you many options for your career path. You can work in theoretical or experimental physics, electronics, statistics and stochastics, CS-related research, or pursue higher studies in physics. When choosing between IITB and IIT Roorkee, consider factors like the quality of professors, campus culture, and location. IITB has excellent professors, a beautiful campus, and great cultural and sports scenes, and is close to TIFR, which provides opportunities for collaboration. When it comes to placements, most EP students go for higher studies because they are passionate about physics. For EE, core and non-core jobs are similar to those for other courses in terms of job security and salary packages. Finally, the "brand" of IITs, especially IIT Bombay, provides a sense of job security that can be reassuring for graduates.Read more

Ques. What should I choose, DTU engineering physics or Thapar University CS?

● Top Answer By Samira Puri on 10 Aug 21

Ans. Having known some people studying in both these institutions, I can say that if you plan to get a job offer, go for CS at Thapar University. If not and are interested in doing research opt for Engineering Physics at DTU. Engineering Physics is a field which does not anymore provide a promising opportunity to its aspirants.  If you go with this choice of branch you might get research opportunities after higher studies.  Moreover, if you have prioritized DTU, keep in mind that the quality of education and academic career is reducing with every passing year.  Few of the many branches at DTU are striving to keep their esteemed position with engineering physics not being one of them. Instead, CS at Thapar University would be an excellent option for building a path for your career.  This branch is known for its exceptional academics and for the opportunities held out to the students.  Although it is a batch of almost 570 students in CS you can certainly end up with a 5LPA and above package by the end of your 4th year. Categories CS at Thapar University Course Fee 13.23 lakh Highest CTC 22 LPA Average CTC 8 LPA There are many reputed companies that take part in their placement program and recruit CS graduates. These include Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, Capgemini, Oracle, IBM, ZS Associates, Morgan Stanley and many more.Read more

Ques. How do I choose between IIT Delhi engineering physics, civil, production & industrial, and chemical engineering?

● Top Answer By Pawan Sinha on 05 Apr 23

Ans. I will restrict my answer to Engineering Physics and Chemicals only as I know the same only.  The major criterion followed at IIT Delhi by all the branches is a well-maintained CG. To secure good placements one has to constantly score a good CG throughout the program. During your admission, the department does not play any role but your 85 percent constraint on minimum possible strength does. Engineering Physics is a unique branch for those highly passionate about Physics and want to pursue higher studies in the same To secure core jobs, one has to move to MTech in Engineering Physics from BTech in Engineering Physics. For Chemical Engineering students, BTech is more than enough to secure decent packages and great research opportunities outside India. Consultancy and Analytics jobs are offered equally to students of all the departments  Engineering Physics graduates usually take up consultancy or IT jobs  Chemical Engineering is the most laid-back department of IIT Delhi with very flexible academics thus making it easy to maintain a decent CG throughout.  I wouldn’t suggest anyone go for Engineering Physics if they have no intention of pursuing it later. Instead, look for other options in BTech and explore your interests.Read more

Ques. Does an engineering physics graduate from IIT Delhi get high packages?

● Top Answer By Dipti Sinha on 05 Apr 23

Ans. Engineering Physics is one of the most intriguing research-oriented branches of IIT Delhi. Students of this branch get the excellent opportunity to work in top research centers like ISRO, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Eminent scientists and professors testify to the branch's credibility so need not worry about placements. However, this branch is highly challenging and should be opted for only if you are serious about making a career out of it. The curriculum is challenging with high-level mathematics. Students from most branches end up working in MNCs and leave soon because they are not satisfied. However, the Engineering Physics branch provides excellent job prospects. I know someone who chooses this branch over CS and Electrical despite his AIR being 10. This branch requires serious commitment and one has to be truly devoted to the field. The faculty is not that good in comparison to other branches and this might make you suffer initially, but once you start understanding the practical concepts, it will become one of the most interesting courses you have ever come across.Read more

Ques. What are placement opportunities of engineering physics from NIT Calicut?

● Top Answer By Vishwa Ramnath on 24 Aug 21

Ans. In terms of the research field, there are almost no placements opportunities in Engineering Physics at NIT Calicut. The only companies where you will be are allowed to apply for the placements are in the Consultancy services, Sales, etc.  Basically, we can say that NIT Calicut has nothing to offer to the students of Physics. If you want a decent job, then you should work on your coding skills else, you will have to do the basic 8-7 jobs. You can also apply for IIT JEE coaching institutes as these companies offer better salaries and less workload. If you wish to pursue higher studies in the future, you can get a side job at one of these coaching institutes and prepare for your entrance exams. This way you will be in touch with your subject and earn part-time.Read more

Ques. Which one is better: IISC Bengaluru BS Programme or IIT Delhi Engineering Physics? Why?

● Top Answer By Deeraj Shah on 10 Apr 23

Ans. IISc Bengaluru’s BS Program is still in its infancy but has great scope for development in the near future. In fact, I consider this program even better than the Engineering Physics offered at IIT Delhi. A few strong reasons support my stance on the same area: IISc program curriculum is very flexible and students are at the freedom to opt for any course of their choice provided that they have completed the first year m’s highly dynamic course. Whereas IIT Delhi's EG program has little flexibility as you will be studying physics-related courses throughout the program with little space to choose a different topic Globally, IISc is a well-reputed science institute, and its scientific research and teaching methodology are even better than IIT Delhi. The professors of IISc Bangalore are more experienced and learned than IIT Delhi and their unique pedagogy offers a great learning experience. These professors enjoy worldwide recognition and thus their recommendations are highly valued For someone who is interested in Academics more than jobs, IISc is a very good option. It holds the 35th position globally for providing jobs. Despite being a new course, I will highly recommend you to go for it owing to the tremendous scope of development it has.Read more

● Top Answer By Akriti Banerjee on 10 Apr 23

Ans. The choice of college and branch totally depends on your inclination and career prospects. Yet, a few pointers you might consider  For MBA/ non-core jobs/Startups: IIT Delhi Textile is the best choice if you are looking for any 3 of these options. Its excellent location provides enough exposure to give you access to unimaginable opportunities. Many events hosted by industry experts, CEOs of big companies, and successful entrepreneurs will give a better insight into the startup culture. Moreover, students preparing for competing exams can easily access coaching centers nearby. Research in Biotechnology: If you are interested in research in general or Biotechnology specifically, then the Biotechnology at KGP is an excellent choice. It is one of the most demanding fields in terms of research and general growth. With a good CGPA, you can find a research internship or you can apply for MS or Ph.D. Even job opportunities are plentiful.  Campus: IIT Delhi is better because of its small size and location Lastly, Engineering Physics from IIT Guwahati should be considered only if you are genuinely passionate about Physics and want to pursue a research career in the same. The curriculum comprises high-tech mathematical concepts and is a good option to pursue a career in economics and computer science.Read more
