Library is present across the main campus and each of the seven regional campuses. The University Library on main campus is located on the bustling Risman Plaza, adjacent to the Student Center. The 12-floor building houses numerous library resources and personnel, including materials circulation, subject librarians, course reserves, copyright and technical services, multimedia studio, statistical consulting and more.

Within the university library there are resources and services that support the humanities, fine and applied arts, social sciences, and business. During the second and third years at Kent, many students live in the seaside towns of Whitstable and Herne Bay, or the market town of Faversham. These are all on local bus routes to Canterbury and have direct rail links to London.
