Sri Annai Kamakshi Music and Fine Arts College is an initiative of Sri Annai Kamakshi Kalaikudam, a prestigious name in art education. It is a unique, multi-dimensional, multi-faculty, premier, co-educational College of South India. It consummates the great vision of its founder, Chennai-based artist S. Venkatachapathy, M.F.A, (Achalam) whose work since 1993 has been exhibited worldwide and received encomiums everywhere. The college offers wide range of courses and programmes from under graduate courses – B.F.A and B.A to pre-degree Diploma and Certificate courses as per Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University’s prescribed syllabus in Painting, Visual Communication, Bharathanatyam, Carnatic vocal and more.
Approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu, it is the first private College of Fine Arts in the southern region of the country. The hallmark of the courses conducted by Sri Annai Kamakshi Music and Fine Arts College is their open-ended, creative and flexible approach, leading to a new system of art education. The college has flowered within a short time into a haven for artists and musicians stimulating experimentation, exploration and exciting collaborations and partnerships.

Sri Annai Kamakshi Music and Fine Arts College also offers a scholarship scheme of 100% tuition fee waiver to students who are wards of farmers, police personnel, army personnel, corporation workers, and health workers/medical personnel. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can avail the scholarship by informing the institute’s concerned authorities.
