Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College (CTTEC) for Women, Chennai was established in 1985 under the T. Thomas Educational Trust. It is affiliated to University of Madras and accredited by NAAC. An exclusive college for women in Perambur, it believes in empowering women through its holistic education. It is located in the industrial hub of Perambur, it is about two kilometers from Perambur railway station and Perambur bus stand and is easily accessible both by train and bus.

Extra Curricular

NSS - The NSS volunteers conduct regular rallies in the neighbourhood on road safety, AIDS awareness, cancer awareness etc
YCR - To inculcate the principles of voluntary service, health and hygiene, several awareness programmes are conducted for students by the Youth Red Cross unit of the college.
RRC - The Red Ribbon Club of our College has been formed with the intention to create awareness about AIDS. The club organizes various activities including rallies and competitions to create AIDS awareness.

Facilities

Classrooms	All the 40 classrooms are spacious and well-ventilated.
Auditorium	Auditorium is centrally air-conditioned with a capacity of around 500 persons has been equipped with good acoustics.
Conference Hall	Conference hall is air-conditioned with a seating capacity of 100 persons. It has an Overhead LCD projector and a fixed screen.
Library	The library has 14981 textbooks, 802 reference books, subscribes to 29 periodicals, 22 academic journals and 9 newspapers. It is equipped with OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) and 10 computers with LAN and NMEICT connectivity. It provide access to 75,000 e-books and 3,100 full text e-journals.
