Preity BishtStudied Tool and Die Making at Nettur Technical Training Foundation (2019)

NTTF is a good institute for the Tool Design course. The PG is Tool Design is a one-year course. According to one of my friends studying at NTTF, make sure your foundations in mechanical engineering are strong. Also, here are some facts you should keep in mind before deciding:

  • Most of the faculty are retired managers or employers from organizations that are very well known.
  • The knowledge you will get from NTTF would be immense and if you pursue mechanical engineering from this institute then you will get ample opportunities to explore.
  • Coursework is rigorous at NTTF.
  • NTTF has a great brand value but sadly it is on the decline.
  • The placement scenario is declining at NTTF and the students get internship opportunities instead of full time jobs.
  • Only the tool design program attracts recruiters to the campus.
  • In the case of academics, due to the decreasing brand value the technical staff is declining in numbers.

How good is the postgraduation diploma course in tool design at NTTF?

Rochak KundraStudied Tool and Die Making at Nettur Technical Training Foundation (2019)

It is suggested not to join NTTF for any course. The reasons are given below –

  • Recognition: NTTF does not have AICTE recognition and thus you have no other option other than going for a job in the private sector. You cannot go for higher studies even.
  • Study Life: Many veteran professors have left the institute and have not been replaced by equally competent professors. The intake has been increased which has lowered the attention received by each student.
  • Placements: The institute hosts mostly service-based companies with packages of less than 2 LPA. One of my friends was offered INR 8,000 – INR 15,000 per month by a company and it cannot be termed good for a postgraduate degree.
  • Cost of Education - The tuition fee is high around INR 1,60,000 per year and they are increasing it every year by INR 2,000 – INR 3,000. If you have applied for the Bangalore center then you will have to shell out close to INR 7,000 per month on house rent, food, travel, etc. You are looking at a total cost of around INR 3,50,000 for a year degree.

Doing a PG diploma course in tool design at NTTF is not justified at all and I think you will literally waste your time and money on nothing.

Shivangi BahlPGDTD Tool Design & Press Tool Technology at NTTF (2015)

The experience you will get in NTTF will transform you from an ordinary engineer to an advanced one. However, it is important that you work hard and diligently.

NTTF is unquestionably superior to the standard Engineering Master's degree program in India. Tool Design course will assist you in technical preparation for industry challenges.

The institute has great connections and tie-ups with leading manufacturers in India and abroad. You can rely on NTTF to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be.
