SSLA Pune Admissions

The admissions for the undergraduate liberal arts program is based on the SET or SAT scores. The institute offers courses in major, minor and elective specializations.

Major specializations are Mathematics & Statistics, Computer Studies, English, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Anthropology, Media Studies, Business Studies, International Relations, Political Science & Public Policy.
Minor specializations are Biology, Women and Gender Studies, History, Film Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Physics, Performing Arts and Law.
Elective specializations are Genetics, Mathematics, Environment, Philosophy, Literature, Performing arts, Theater and Religion.

How to apply?

Visit the official SAT website.
After filling in the details, he/she must pay the SAT registration fee.
The student will then get a hall ticket which they must take a print out for in order to give the examination.
Visit the official website to register for the examination.
After successfully creating your username and password, fill in your personal information in the web portal.
Choose SET General paper in order to be eligible for application to SSLA.
You may now complete your registration by making a payment of Rs 1750/- towards the SET fee and Rs 1000/- towards the SSLA registration fee. Payment can be made either online or offline.
The following documents are required to apply to SSLA:
- Marksheet of Class 10th and 12th
- Certificate of Class 10th and 12th
- Migration certificate
- Transfer certificate
- Character certificate
- SET exam scores
After the SET results are declared SSLA declares it’s a list of shortlisted candidates who later appear for a personal interview as well as a written aptitude test that is taken by the college.
Based on both these scores a merit list will be published by the school.
Candidates who have given the SAT exam must mandatorily fill in the SET application.

After successfully creating the username and password, fill in their personal information in the web portal.
In the application form, the candidate will have to provide their SAT Scores in a designated place. After filling in the SAT Scores, do not choose SET general and center as SAT Students are exempted from SET Exam.
After filling in the SAT Scores, candidates must complete their registration by making a payment of Rs 1750/- towards the SIU registration and Rs 1000/- towards the SSLA registration fee. Payment can be made either online or offline.
Students mandatorily must send their SAT Scores to SSLA via the College Board Platform after which your application process is completed.

SSLA Pune Scholarships

There are two scholarships that are to be given out to the students studying at SSLA on the basis of merit.

UG Merit Scholarship: This is given by the main college of Symbiosis to one student in the BA or B.Sc undergraduate course based on his/her SET scores.
Jayatee Deshmukh Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to one girl candidate with the highest SET marks. This scholarship is worth INR 25,000.

SSLA Pune Facilities

Classrooms: Classrooms at SSLA are more than just four walls, it’s a place for the students to share their thoughts and understand the depth of topics. These classrooms are extremely technology-friendly and facilitate multimedia learning.
Performance Studio: Dance is one of the most encouraging activities in college, and therefore the students have been provided with a dance studio. The front wall is lined with mirrors that help with coordination and practice, the floor is wooden to aid flexibility and smoothness. There is a facility of speakers that amplify the music to reverberate all around the room.
Library: The students are in possession of ID cards that enable them to access and acquire material and facilities from the libraries. Symbiosis unites different disciplines within its many colleges, which makes sure that the books available to the students are vast in number and scope.
Canteen: One of the defining venues of the campus is Symbieat, the canteen. The canteen within the campus serves a variety of snacks, drinks, and meals vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The range of cuisines is wide and the seating area is large. Students can get lunch, dinner, and snacks.
