What students say about Ramaiah Institute of Technology - [RIT]

Likes

  • The course I chose and the college I chose, I am fully content. Regular lab with one system per student, with excellent guidance from renowned faculties. Very strict in the field of academics.
  • It was brilliant. I interned at a pharmaceutical company; a lot of companies like ITC, HUL, etc. come. The stipend is around 12k per month.
  • Placements and job opportunities are also going well. Out of 100 students, almost 97 will get placed. Placements are excellent for CSE and ISE departments, but average for ECE, EEE, Mechanical, and the rest of the departments.
  • Scholarship assistance is provided by the colleges alumni, who all contribute towards this scholarship fund. They select students every year through a rigorous process to choose a deserving candidate.
  • The infrastructure of Ramaiah is good. They provide computers for all students in the library information systems. The technology used in the examination section was of a high level, and the security check makes the college the best of the best.
  • The hostel infrastructure is very good. They will provide food, mineral water, free WiFi, and for each person, they will give a bed and a coat. In each room, there will be two beds.
  • College is perfect, and yes, there are ample lots of things that I would like to change in it. But in and out, this college will teach you a hell lot of things.

Dislike

  • There was no option for something called college internships; students are preferred to do projects on their own, which is actually bad.
  • The scholarship section is very poor; needy students would not be able to receive any of them.
  • There is no fest in college; they only provide an ethnic day. The classroom has no cleanliness.
  • The negative aspect of the College is that it keeps constructing new buildings by cutting down all the greenery around.

Placement Experience:

For placement, I have seen our senior's placements start after 6 semesters or during 6th semester. Many top companies hire students from our branches such as jsw, dover, mercedes benz, Boeing lam research etc. The highest package was 20 LPA from Samsung our seniors and the least was 3 LPA. About 80-90% of students get placed in campus placements. If I get a better package from the college placement then I go for it if not then see for mu higher studies.

Remarks:

I got into this college through the Kcet entrance examination where I got mechanical engineering and the cutoff was around 20K for mechanical engineering for the general category. For the management seat, we can find the application form on the main website. I had a CAPF certificate which again made it possible for getting admission to this college. The admission process for Kcet is quite easy compared to other entrance exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I was interested in this course I joined it. Faculty is around 100 and students around 180 therefore 1:1.8 ratio. Mtec, uphill they teach well. Exams were very tight, as they were very strict in evaluating it was very difficult.

Remarks:

If you obtain around 6000 ranking in cet you will get admission in mechanical in general merit. If the rural quota is present then upto 16000 in the second round u can get admission. For sc/st up to 40000, and 2A category up to 28000.No improvements are needed as it is already enough for admission.

Placement Experience:

Placement offers are not bad to compare to the previous year after the 6th or include placement will start. Companies like Benz, lam Research, techno book lnt etc are to visitors, the average package is to be around 4 to 4.5 lpa 70 to 75% students are getting campus selection. Plans offer a degree in farming.

Remarks:

After completing my 12th. I have registered for KCET (Karnataka common entrance test). After registration, I wrote Exam and I got a rank (of 60183). After analysing the cut-off rank according to rank and applying for this college. And this college was allocated to me and I paid kea fee through NEFT and got an Admission order. And joined this college. Overall the Admission Process is easy.

Placement Experience:

Right from 6th-semester students all are eligible for placements But it's less for core branches. This year till March 290 companies visited making offers for over 1100 students. The highest package was 50 LPA for a software intern. The placement percentage is around 80% overall.

Remarks:

I was admitted under the KCET quota and admission was not so difficult. Firstly, once the KCET results are out you have to choose a number of colleges interested in, and based on your rankings college is allotted. For mechanical KCET rank of 9000ish would be fine.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to pursue my undergrad in something related to biology soo I thought that bsc in microbiology, genetics and biochemistry was apt for Mr faculties are really helpful and will be there for u no matter what si they are really good teaching methods is really good..they'll make presentations and teach you term exams were kinda messed up for us due to covid other than that everything was nice

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love Biology and research related to biology So I took this course. The faculty of our department is huge. All the faculty are PhDs holders. Term exams were conducted in intervals of 5 months. The exam was moderate.

Remarks:

I took the KCET exam. Other exams like JEE and COMEDK are also available. 10+2 with PCM is the eligibility. Rural quota SNQ quota and other quotas like NCC, army, etc. are available. The admission process is good. No improvements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course for the sake of Electronics. The teachers are good and knowledgeable where most of them have done their PhDs and the students' strength is around 60 per batch and later lateral entry students will also join.

Remarks:

The admission process was smooth. I came through KCET and the required documents were asked by the college I submitted the cutoff for my branch was 28000. Reservation through KCET is taken. The admission process was smooth but took a bit longer.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 6th sem. Samsung, Infosys and many companies' offers are made, the highest package is 50 lpa as per my knowledge, and 95% is placements every year. I want to do MTech after my degree

Remarks:

The Kcet exam is eligible for the college, and the application is available on the KEA website, admission process is more complicated than document verification, so it should be decreased as less as possible, and the website should be made stable.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are very much good. You can see on websites and news channels have put about the placements there is 95 to 97% of placement in this college and more job opportunities are given as many companies come to this college.

Remarks:

I entered this college through KCET which is taken after the 12th board. The cut-off for this college was more as it's the top 1 college of Karnataka and the process of admission was a little bit hectic and time-consuming but joining this college was worth it.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good in our college but if we need placements our cgpa should be more than 7 or else it is difficult to get placement on the campus. If our cgpa is more than 7 we can easily get placed in a campus interview.

Remarks:

Admission through ug cet. The admission process was good. There were some reserved seats for CET students. Filled out the application form in college and the application form fee was 1000Rs.The process for admission process was too slowed to improve the admission process. I wasted time in the admission section.
