Placements are available after 2nd year. The highest package offered last year was 22lac. Big 4 visited the campus and various other companies more than 500 offers were made. The average package was 4.9 lac. My plan after getting my degree would be to go for the CDS exam and join the Indian army for me.
For BCOM HONS you need to have Accounts/Maths as a subject in cuet. Other subjects can be economics, business studies, English, and physical education. The general test is optional. The Nta site will have the link for the cuet form Form charge 1300 if gat is included. Registration for du charges 350 if availing with extracurricular activities. (ECA) If available reservation the cut-off for OBC goes down to 600 marks. And for the same college but evening time the cutoff goes to 450. So if you are an average student and want to enjoy DU go for Shaheed Bhagat Singh evening college. The admission process is very simple the rounds would be declared and at the time of accepting a fee is to be paid for the first year.
As we know DU is not meant for placement especially but last year many companies visit colleges for giving jobs to the student. But no big offer is given by them. But DU is well known for further studies because DU is reputed so further study option is easy to take and DU also help in Government exams preparation.
Admission is DU is done via a cutoff list realised by the respective colleges. The form fees for application are free for the reserved candidate is free and nominal for the general students. They must pass the 12th class with the knowledge Board.
there is a dedicated placement cell in the college that helps students in getting placed in various companies like Deloitte , KPMG and other finance-related companies, students avg placements ranges around 3-4lpa though the placements were strictly restriced for commerce students which was one of the biggest drawbacks of the college
the admission process was done through the merit-based system on the basis of marks of class 12th. it had relaxation for reservation category students. the entire process was conducted through the official website of delhi university
It's only in the third year that the students are eligible for campus placements. The placements are mainly for students pursuing commerce and some for other departments. Many webinars and seminars are held in college for the purpose of awareness and better knowledge and many internships are also available for students, govt, and non govt for every stream from the first year itself. I'm not sure of the name of the companies that visited as sbsc has not released the latest placement report. But according to the reports of March 2019, over 160 students were presented with offers and the highest package offered was 20 lpa while the average placement offered was 4.69 lpa. Most of the passed students are in good positions in their life.
I applied for admission in 2021. At that time, there used to be no entrance exam at DU for such courses. The application form was available on the DU portal and the whole admission process went smoothly. The course I'm pursuing is BA Political Science (Hons), the term for which is 3 years. It has now increased to 4 years according to the new education policy if students wish to get an honors degree or they might even pursue the course for 3 years for a regular ba/bsc/bcom/etc degree. I belong to the general category, therefore I didn't avail of any reservation benefits. Although in some co-ed colleges of DU, there was a 1 percent benefit for girls. The admission process was smooth except for this year according to me. The students weren't given options as we did get to choose whichever college we want to take admitted in. They were just given a preference form. I feel this could have been more feasible.
The placement and internship cell is active and students get internship opportunities in their 1st and 2nd years and finally get placed in 3rd year for most of the commerce courses with an average package of 5.5 lakhs and the highest package of 9 lakhs. For art courses, there is not much scope for placement but get good opportunities in sectors like teaching, government jobs, law, etc. All the big fours and associated firms and startups recruit students from our college. 85% above placements are done specifically in commerce and economics.
I got admission to the College through the choice-based credit system. I got it in the 3rd cutoff. Application forms, fees, and dates were all available on the official website of Delhi University. The process to apply is quite convenient. The only thing I found as a drawback is there should not be any charge to change your college in subsequent cutoffs and one comparison option should be there to choose the better college.
This course is the best in the college and my interest lies in the subject and we have around 20 faculty members to teach the graduate students of different years and there are 63 students in 2nd year and around 250 including all years. The faculty members are highly qualified as they cleared the exams to teach us many are doctorates, and masters in their fields. There is a semester-wise exam and the paper is not very difficult if you study and focus on class what was taught by professors.
Anyone with any stream in +2 can apply for the course and you can find out more information on the Delhi University site as now it's entrance based and you have to meet the cut-off with your marks in CUET.
My college is much famous for its commerce department. In DU my college has got 2nd rank for commerce department means its highest package for BCom is almost 17lakh and its average package is approx 8 lakh per annum.
There was a common entrance examination for all Central universities in India which is known as CUET it was the first time that DU took the entrance exam so I gave it In Aug 2022 and its results were released in Oct 2022 then for the admission process every central university had opened their individual site for admission so DU launched CSAS portal where students can register for their admission so I registered there and I got SBSC in DU.

I got admission on a percentage basis for the B.Com program. The application procedure is very effective and the verification of the profile is also quick despite having a high number of admissions, getting in the first cutoff, and many of my friends also got admitted to the same college. I am from obc category and availed reservation benefits too, furthermore, they can change the cutoff percentage required on the demand of the college
DYBy - Daksh YadavThe admission process was cut off based process. 94% was the cut-off to opt for history Hons. Forms were available on the Delhi University website. Cut-offs vary as per your category. Admission was very simple and easy to access.
SSBy - Simmy SaumyaThe admission process was quite easy as it was a cut-off-based admission. The required cut-off to opt for geography hons was 95.25. If you are from any stream other than arts your percentage will be deducted up to 2 to 4 % of class 12th board.
