Which is the best for mechanical engineering, VIIT in Pune, VIT in Pune, or MIT Pune?

Nikhil Srivastavlived in Pune, Maharashtra, India

Among these, VIT Pune is the best option for Mechanical Engineering.

    • VIT Pune Mechanical branch is more than 20 years old. So, it had better exposure. This helps in better industry recognition, tie-ups.
    • VIT offers better placements for the Mechanical branch. It offers more core placements compared to VIIT and MIT. According to the VIT Pune Mechanical Engineering placements of the last few years, the average CTC for the branch is 5-6 LPA. VIIT shares campus placement with VIT. But few companies visiting the placement drive don’t allow VIIT students to sit for placement.

VIT, VIIT, and MIT three of these colleges are autonomous, and they update their curriculum regularly. So, you can expect similar academics from all three of these institutes.

I have chosen Computer Science but I have to get admission to this branch. The faculty of our college are very much cooperative. they help us with various projects. There is something around 22 to 25 faculty are present for the 180 students. Faculties are well qualified from Reputed Universities and also they are Highly Qualified. Practical Oriented Teaching methods were present. The industry was taken by faculty. In August itself academics were start and in October insemester exams were conducted and in December end sem exams were conducted. this same pattern was followed per semester. The difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate level.

    Nice college

    3.8Helpful
I am a mechanical engineering student in VIIT and I was aiming for CS but due to low score in CET I ended up in Mechanical but I have no regrets of it as Mechanical branch carries me forward and my moto was that getting a good college is way more important than getting preferred branch and now I am happy with Mechanical. Faculty is full of Phd and Mtech holder with years of experience. The teacher and student ratio is 1:10. Term and End Sem exams are well fixed from the start of the semester when the semester calendar is launched and passing the exam in our college is so easy. Every subject have 100-125 marks and frm that 55-65 marks are internal marks and 50-60 marks written exam is there distributed in the In Sem and EndSem Examination. The best this is there is no combine passing and you just have to score 50 marks out of 125 to pass that perticular course.

    VIIT review

    4.4Helpful
Some say that the mechanical engineering program at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) in Pune is good. The faculty members are well-qualified, helpful, and cooperative. The program teaches students how to provide technological solutions. Graduates also learn managerial, financial, and ethical practices.

My course i.e. Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is a very new course and only a few colleges have added this to their curriculum, it is the most trending today, and hence I chose this as I got a good college. Faculties numbers are enough for the number of students in the course. Faculties are simple and helpful. I think all the faculties have a very good educational background like Phd, etc, and are very experienced in this profession too. They follow practical teaching methods. Exams are held every 2 months. ISE and ESE are the main exams in a semester.

The course is very up-to-date and always keeps on updating according to recent trends. This course is awesome as it makes you industry-ready to land any job. Also, the faculties are good, and kind. All faculties are Ph.D. or MSc or M.Tech holders. Each semester has two exams namely in-sem and end-sem.

I had an interest in mechanical engineering, so I opted for it. Overall faculties are really kind-natured, humble, and supportive. Also, they are very well qualified having a doctorate degree. Teaching is good, but some are boring. We have 2 exams for every semester. they are inseam and ends. and they are easy to crack.

The ETC course is very good and you get good placements as well. The teachers in my stream are very good. They support every student. They are mostly Ph.D. holders and follow modern teaching. We have two exams each semester one is in-sem and then end-sem. They are easy to moderate difficulty level.

I had also applied for EnTC but its cut-off was high. So I got a Mechanical branch. Faculties in the stream are highly qualified and cooperative as well. Their teaching is also very good and easy to understand. There are two exams per semester in-sem and end-sem and they are of easy to moderate difficulty level.
