Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must complete a three-year engineering diploma recognized by an institution situated in UP or Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh in any branch of engineering (except Agriculture Engineering, Pharmacy and Architecture).
In order to apply later entry to Agriculture Engineering a candidates must complete a three-year Agriculture engineering diploma recognized by an institution situated in UP or Board of Technical Education, UP.
Candidates should score minimum 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates) aggregate marks in their qualifying examination.
No age limit for writing exam.
Candidates who have passed Sc & 10+2 level exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects are eligible to apply for any lateral entry B.Tech program. As per official website of UPTAC “These candidates shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with the candidates belonging to the Diploma stream.”
Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam of any state other than Uttar Pradesh and whose parents are not domicile of UP are not eligible to apply for B.Tech lateral entry programs.
